7/8 post seasons. Sitting out with those 2 early byes usually do teams on good runs no favors.

https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/beninan01.shtml 2019-2020 very pedestrian numbers no matter which system you go by

Chourio three run hr robbery over the wall changed that game.

All the attention on Raleigh and Judge and Ohtani. Does Kyle get put into that same conversation very frequently? Maybe too defensive since he shares your name. KYyle though. Not quite the same.

bWAR maybe but most consider fWAR the better measure for position players due to the defensive focus that kills Benintendi

Cy Young voting will be really tight if DET misses post season...still think that Skubal barely takes it over Crochet, who is winning again tonight with a shoutout going.

https://www.fangraphs.com/players/andrew-benintendi/17901/stats?position=OF He averaged 1.5 fWAR from 2019-22, look again... although 2020 results are speed due to Covid. His NYY numbers after that deadline trade from KC really lifted him, but still just a 2 fWAR for the combined season.

Not sure that Gore hasn't given up...but the Nats' pen very solid at back end recently.

3-1 Guardians. Pressure mounting for DET. Hunter Brown going tonight in SAC.

Mets were almost magical down the stretch last year. Especially Iglesias. Doesn't happen every single season.

Ending up in the 50s for victories seems like a huge disappointment. We'll see which team wants to play in the Cellar Dwellers Bowl. Kyle Schwarber with the quietest 56 homers ever...FA year lol.

Going to the bullpen...it's all about economies of scale. Friedman in LA has made just as many mistakes, arguably. $111 million to that pen and Scott/Treinen terrible, Yates il'ed. Not to mention the Conforto deal. And the Mets do have that lockdown closer in the post season in Diaz, to go with a really strong Top 5/6 hitters. Ofc Mets' problem is starting pitching. Rookie McLean has been really solid and earned a spot in the post season rotation.

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/09/blue-jays-activate-anthony-santander-designate-alek-manoah-for-assignment.html Take a last shot at Alek Manoah?

He was always going to be CF relief for the Robert trade that never came to be.

Last year felt more optimistic at very end with Burke pitching well and winning 2/3 against the "resting" Tigers. Sizemore more energetic as well.

Already has plans to work out with Luis Robert, Jay and Yonder Alonso at Camp Cora in Miami.

Those last three games in WSH are going to average 2 hrs 5 mins...

Those last three games in WSH are going to average 2 hrs 5 mins...

Sox facing a perfect storm tonight with BoSox leading Toronto again. Would be a first place tie in the East if scores hold up.

A lot like Jacob Gonzalez...no standout tools.

See Keppinger, Jeff. First Hahn signing. Meanwhile Romy Gonzalez would be the best Sox hitter, at least statistically.

Ideal Sox corner player. Valera goes yard, 2-1 Guardians in the third. Reds in trouble vs. Skenes...will have to score off pen, 2-0 Pirates

Cannon has to be in AAA to start next season. Julks still? The problem is that only leaves S.Smith Martin and Burke/Gomez for the rotation. That's not going to sell many season tickets...

All depends on Hagen, Schultz and Grant Taylor taking the next steps...and all those pitchers like Thorpe coming off injury.

Doesn't seem fair in teems of the pitching matchup lol. Burke is going to get the most innings? Detroit Cleveland also rain delayed.
