  1. Home plate umpires today have been terrible with ball/strike calls...
  2. He was (going to be) on a cheaper contract at least for those final two arb years in 2025-26...before Red Sox extension. That deal would have another $75-125 million on it if signed today. Which has a LOT of value to Boston in light of clearing the Devers deal from the books...filling out the remainder of the roster for Breslow.
  3. Have heard this year that Teel and Meidroth alone make that a winning trade for the Sox...
  4. Dodgers with glide path to NLCS through just Cincy and the Phil without Z.Wheeler....
  5. Make it a trifecta with Suzuki Ohtani and Yoshida massively impacting games today. No Venn diagram overlap with the White Sox there.
  6. Cease gets yet another chance to prove he's an ACE/TOR starter. Not counting on it...except for the fact he's facing his ex-organization.
  7. Shades of El Duque and Jenks in 2005 with that escape...
  8. Yet another former White Sox reliever...appearing today. Kahnle didn't pitch for DET today, did he? Was flipping back and forth. Bednar and D.Williams just haven't worked out in NY...most can't handle the pressure compared to Pittsburgh and Milwaukee.
  9. Announcers forgetting Crochet's 2020 playoff experience vs. the A's...haha.
  10. Story of the White Sox franchise from 2013-2025... MLB's feeder team. Started with Sale Q Eaton and Tatis, Jr.
  11. Japanese players having a massive impact already in Suzuki and Yoshida...and not even to the Dodgers' game. Oh yeah...the Sox just added one Pacific Rim scout, finally.
  12. As long as they kept Roman Anthony...pretty sure they aren't in the postseason without the jolt he gave them.
  13. Well, you might have heard the Dodgers have some pretty good pitchers...
  14. The White Sox still might not spend even if KRW was equal to USD... From spending two weeks in Osaka and Kyoto this summer... it reinforced how expensive everything in Japan is. Tokyo even felt more affordable two years ago.
  15. At the big league level...we shall see. We only have 5-6 guys at his spot unless they move him to corner OF.
  16. Really hope the Mariners win it all. Either Milwaukee (small market) or LA inhe NL so that they can finally start leveling the playing field financially in mlb.
  17. 2024 they almost took out LA, best team in baseball, after beating Atlanta. Thanks for nothing Cease. 2022 they made it all the way through to the NLCS but made mistake of starting Clevinger...lost to Philly. 2020 beat St. Louis. Lost to Dodgers. But not bad at all for a bottom 5 market in US pro sports. Not like they lost to Detroit CLE KC.
  18. https://chicago.suntimes.com/cubs/2025/03/05/how-brad-keller-made-mid-career-velocity-jump-thats-turning-heads-in-cubs-camp Also fire Shildt...
  19. Tatis way way too anxious after walking a career high 89 times this year, too. He always had that playoff magic until this game.
  20. Have to start cheering for Milwaukee/Vaughn... Keller another feather in Getz's cap lol. Blow up the Padres. At least they have had four playoff series victories since 2020...but this is just not their year.
  21. Can't win at Wrigley scoring just one run.
  22. The super pen approach was really started last year. In addition to Laureano, Adam being out with the hamstring has really hurt because they had to move Estrada back one spot.
  23. For making playoffs 4/6 years compared to Padres' previous franchise history....and Top 3 attendance??? Well it doesn't really matter. Need to do a retooling...limited budget now and lower draft picks and can't buy out international classes anymore. Maybe they shake things up and trade Machado....try to build around Merrill and Tatis.
  24. It made more sense with a healthy Musgrove...
  25. Still not buying M.Miller in the starting rotation ala Crochet after they lose Suarez to free agency...
