Padres into Garret Crochet
Little thing called leverage in trade negotiations…seems lost on Getz.

The mainstream snd even right wing media love her...her story produces numerous spinoff articles on an almost daily basis. It's the left or progressive side that seems to be taking an issue with her.

Would you support the team if Jerry got the Saudi's to finance the new stadium?
This sounds like the tail numbers tracker all over Musk’s private jet location.

Sox @ D-Backs 6/14
What is he doing tonight? Sulking? Complaining about the heat? Amazingly, Lopez still outhitting Benintendi.

Sox @ D-Backs 6/14
Not counting Fedde? Or assuming no Robert or Crochet trades due to hard to properly establish valuations?

Sox @ D-Backs 6/14
Saw where Crochet was leading or tied for the MLB strikeout lead as of yesterday...

Sox @ D-Backs 6/14
Might as well just DFA Soroka. Whatever he once had with ATL is now permanently gone. The crispness and bite on his pitches, even though the velo is mostly back.

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
For the same reason we get upset about never maximizing intl free agent signing pools but consistently trading it away for other teams to sign prospects they've simply outscouted the Sox on. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/08/dodgers-to-sign-top-korean-pitching-prospect-hyun-seok-jang.html To be fair...he hasn't lit up MiLB quite yet at 20.

Or it shows zero confidence in Getz and the scouting team...to get more surplus value in the future from their prospect acquisitions.

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
If they dump Benintendi with Robert or Crochet...they will lose the franchise eventually. With not getting anything higher than the 10th pick next year, it's absolutely critical to maximize prospect returns and not cost savings. Basically opening the gates and broadcasting games is already netting $100-125 million already. Let's be honest here, they are already wasting at least $25-30 on complete veteran/cast off crap already. Crap playets almost nobody wants to see and certainly not entertaining. Another $5-10 million gets Benintendi off the books to another team or at least enough to encourage him to take the money (let's say a $35-40 million check) and retire. Otherwise, his life would essentially be a living hell stuck on 100+ loss teams for at least the next two years of his remaining contract.

The NBA uses size 7 balls, while the WNBA uses size 6 balls. Those measure a minimum of 28.5 inches in circumference, an inch smaller than the NBA basketballs. They also weigh less at 20 ounces (vs. 22 ounces). 3.4% and 11% difference, let's call it 7% and split the difference. Of course, how much more power and speed and strength does Steph Curry have to Clark, who weighs 155 pounds and is 6 feet?

Interesting Lee comment...
Well, off to AAA with your negative vibes...have to feel for the guy, especially when he's actually hitting much better than expected but it's hard to find a consistent rhythm with the current arrangement of PT. Eventually it seems Maldonado has to wear down in the summer heat of Chicago.

White Sox "actively seeking" packages for Robert
Nobody is ignoring the reality...personally, like KW's philosophy of always giving them a 3 run homer or two even in a loss, baseball is much more fun when you have the first half 2006 offense than what we've been forced to watch the last two years. Concern is much more on the future position player side, especially if Robert isn't traded and Crochet gets a return less than the Cease trade w/ SD.
