  1. More like The Triangle of Sadness/Badness... Benintendi struck out on the 30th pitch he has seen tonight.
  2. Well that and his FIP/+ will be a selling point. Except now might not even have Crochet next year if he needs shoulder surgery after TJ.
  3. And winning the battle with the media...and against Sox fans. Twins' announcers trying to be optimistic Sox can "rebuild in 3-4 years."
  4. This season is somehow capable of making Oppenheimer look positive and perky/peppy.
  5. We had 2005, 2008 and 2021 beating the Twins. That's basically three years in two decades. Sigh.
  6. Burger only has three sac flies in his entire career. Crazy. Book is hard and in/up on Burger apparently.
  7. Got away with what amounted as a bunt instead of DP. Problem is bullpen can't hold any lead. Especially on the road.
  8. Bummer of course will put out the fire. Only OAK and KC pens give up more free passes.
  9. 101 mph over the heart of the plate for next year's closer... Cease the only pitcher on the trade block this week to have a decent start. Middleton has become more thorns than roses recently.
  10. Send that to the same marketing team that made the PPT presentations for Harper and Machado...they haven't been busy. Benintendi signing was one of the quietest this entire offseason.
  11. Remillard in RF has to be one of the most insane roster examples...ofc he made an important error playing there.
  12. If we keep eliminating negative fWAR contributors...either will make progress eventually, or simply have a roster of just a handful of 5-7 players remaining.
  13. Well I would consider two front office guys at or near the GM level to be slightly more important...but the White Sox also had issues with Wally Backman as well. A lot of people around the game thought he was going to be an excellent manager. Then there's Daryl Boston and the Brian Ball allegations, which I'm pretty sure that lawsuit didn't go anywhere. Think of Wes Helms as more of a Braves' guy...that's where his roots lie, at least, like McEwing and the Cardinals.
  14. Well....how many years consecutively has someone said how easy it was to find a 2B (compared to SS)? Well the White Sox somehow produced four All Stars at the much harder position...but none at second. Unfortunately only one of those players really helped the White Sox in Anderson.
  15. Not the Mets? Let's not forget how much they're spending AND they had to fire two front office execs in a row for various Improprieties. And they lost to the Padres in the playoffs last year. And they have pretty much diametrically opposed media markets.
