Padres into Garret Crochet
Hitting at 27 could be a gold mine. IF IF IF still healthy.

BA updated Top 100, Noah Schultz checks in at #9
He was....then he got hurt. And into KW doghouse.

And now being more likely to end up at 3B rather than SS.

Rosenthal column on Grifol...
Jirschele Santos Leyland Pick the youngest just for fun.

Next trade MUST bring a proven major league reliever. Another bullpen loss tonight.
Berroa seems to be lacking in the "plus stuff" we believed that we were getting, at least so far. Inciarte might be slotted here, but it really doesn't matter. Leasure, whatever, it is what it is. Let Wilson try to get a run going so they can market him as a quasi-closer.

15 Is the record....although over 1967-68 seasons.

Under what scenario would you consider offering Crochet and/or Kopech extensions?
Kopech...might as well just release him and move on from the Hahn taint, but they'll get SOMETHING for him eventually, some pitching coach will have a magical fix in mind, like tipping pitches or opening up too early or about his stride/landing, etc.

Now who in God's name do they turn to in the bullpen? It's not going to be Kopech again, is it? Wilson?

Wisdom is a result of experience, and experience is a result of bad judgment.

Blown late lead #11, right? Had a feeling once it got to 5-3 with the current Sox pen...seemed almost inevitable at Wrigley.

Still leaving him in? I know he just got an out, but....these are their best 3 hitters. Okay, Shuster for L/L vs. Bellinger and Happ. Morel will be the key at-bat.

Well, this was more to be expected. Hopefully get out of this inning with no worse than a tie now. Grifol should have been content with the one inning of success and let Soroka try to build upon that.

Like Remillard, he can never seem to move on...stuck with him. Even Leury had an end date.

See Pirates and Reds. Royals until this season. Marlins. Tigers. Not sure what to call the Rockies and A's.

Sheets? Although Big Game James could sure bring some veteran leadership to snagging balls in BP I guess...

Soroka is now a "high leverage" reliever? He is for two outs tonight, at least. But wonder how long this type of luck will hold out.

Waiting for someone to argue that Julks at 28 is part of the future while Burger needed to be jettisoned at 26/27 for being too old. Although I guess part of that was the concern about his body breaking down as he got older, too.

Started with Moncada his rookie year and all those called strike 3's. Caitlin Clark Hazing.
