  1. Giveth and taketh away. Going to be a long game.
  2. https://www.mlb.com/video/chris-bassitt-in-play-run-s-to-elly-de-la-cruz Amusing to watch look of disbelief on faces of two Jays’ fans in a season of red
  3. Tough loss with the defense and Robertson collapsing after holding a lead for so long. That last WC spot will come down to the wire with four teams fighting and now the DBacks suddenly surging with their own young/exciting/talented team. (Noticed Stone Garrett is playing well recently as well.)
  4. 2016 sucked too with the 23-10 start and then collapsing and then the Shields trade quickly going awry...but they finally chose a direction most of the fanbase agreed with in light of the KC and then Cubs successes.
  5. Twins Brewers Royals Cards famous for these hot stove league appearances as well. Of course a lot of those smaller Midwest towns have been hollowed out of relevance. Look at the team radio networks from the 1950s through 70s compared to 2023.
  6. Not these last two years without a winning product on the field. You can argue about SELLING those tickets in 2022 after two straight (disappointing) playoff appearances. But actual butts in the seats is a different matter altogether.
  7. The real potential threat of losing a team after decades of small market success and moxie tends to have that effect on the psyche of a fanbase. Remember when they threatened to contract the Twins in the early 2000s?

  9. If the White Sox are that dumb they should be relegated to the American Association.
  10. Or swinging at pitches outside of the strike zone...

  12. How in God's name do you sell any season tickets if Pedro Grifol is back? Who would want to watch this same diminishing product three years in a row...with almost no logical/reasonable/realistic hope for improvement?
  13. In a video of practice on Tuesday posted by son Deion Sanders Jr., the elder Sanders can be seen screaming at members of the team, after a fight broke out between safety Jaden Milliner-Jones and running back Anthony Hankerson. "I seen two of you walking off, over there, and you’ve got a key teammate fighting," Sanders yelled. "Where they do that at? Where they do that at?" He continued, "If one fights, we all fight. You understand that? I don’t want to see you all walking off when somebody’s fighting. Never again!" https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/38206482/colorado-coach-deion-sanders-admonishes-players-walking-away-fight-practice https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/deion-sanders-calls-players-walking-170736383.html
  14. Watch out for those Michigan ties… Greenspan joins the Wildcats after most recently serving as the Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the University of Michigan during the 2023 season. Before his time in Ann Arbor, Greenspan was an Assistant Coach at California Polytechnic State University in 2022. He has also spent seven seasons (2015-21) as an assistant at Arizona State, and six seasons (2009-14) on the coaching staff at Indiana University.
  15. Friedman…
  16. There is if you have watched Moncada all season long and then watched him against the Yankees. If you run at 75-85% all of the time, obviously your times on the base paths will suffer.
  17. 10-1 Marlins former Sox trade target Jazz Chisholm three run tater down RF line Now five homers in total, two Soler, Gonsolin goodbye and Burger up again now against a reliever
  18. Just because of the way he looks. And he's actually one of the fastest players on the Sox team for 2023 because he consistently hustled...and already deceptively quick for that body type.
  19. Burger 1 1 1 3 .236, 27 homers, 63 RBIs 7-1 Marlins over Dodgers...both Cincy and Florida overtaking the Cubs
  20. They're definitely going to threaten the worst attendance numbers in New Comiskey next season...
