  1. Romy has definitely picked up his defense with regular playing time and feeling more confident now, like he sort of belongs.
  2. Did they give Burger a hit? 3 hits for Robert tonight. So streaky this year.
  3. This happens every year. Someone starts a "Only optimistic/positive comments" thread. Which leads to more sarcastic but slightly positive leaning comments. How about they just get to around 5 games below .500 to the point where they actually deserve some praise? Because following the minors isn't working for many Sox fans, either.
  4. Jimenez actually made a fairly decent play...or at least didn't manage to somehow screw it up. Giolito qualifies for the win, at least until the bullpen figures out a new way to screw things up.
  5. Are they really going to put Reynaldo Lopez into this game here?
  6. Tyler Anderson and Heaney lost all their mojo upon leaving the Dodgers...take that back, Heaney's at least been pretty decent with the surging Rangers.
  7. Do you honestly see Grifol cutting one of his favorite players? It's like TLR with Leury, almost. Hahn's going to argue the veteran/experienced player gives them a better shot at the post-season, lol.
  8. Nero/Hahn and the Fire That Ended a Dynasty
  9. Romy taking over 2nd base for now...not sure what they will do when Andrus comes back. Probably send Romy back down. That seems like a typical Sox defense gift run. All kinds of mistakes on that play. Urshela has to catch that.
  10. Not sure about playing for one more run so early in the game at home...although maybe Benintendi was bunting for a base hit and not a sacrifice? At least he advanced the runner, I guess.
  11. RBI's don't matter in analytics, lol.
  12. Angels soon ending a streak of 49 games in 52 days. Wow, that's crazy considering how much travel the coastal teams have to do.
  13. Almost a great play by Neto...just came up short. Covers so much ground at short.
  14. Remember in 2020 and 2021 when the Sox absolutely killed left handed pitching? That feels like a decade ago. Robert having a night so far.
  15. That basically only leaves the MLB Draft for discussion...and even that's depressing because, well just look at their draft history for the past five years or so. And that was when they had multiple top 5 picks. A's fans have a new stadium/venue to look forwards to...Royals have a better/younger core as this is now the backside of the current Sox "window" and the Reds have a much younger or more exciting/dynamic team along with Hunter Greene. I guess we could be compared to the Rockies in terms of complete hopelessness.
  16. He's had ONE above average offensive season for a catcher...the rest have been pretty abysmal.
  17. They're not THAT good. Still a collection of stars and some complementary pieces around Trout/Rendon/Ohtani. Still short a starting pitcher or two...lost Iglesias from their pen as well.
  18. They have to acquire at least one PLUS PLUS young defensive catcher. Seby's not part of the next White Sox playoff team, that much is for sure. Need to see what they have in Perez after Grandal is dumped. Urshela the definition of a professional hitter who doesn't wow you but does all the little things. Same with his time on the Twins and Yankees.
  19. Renfroe arguably should have scored there. 60 pitches already.
  20. Second Giolito gopher ball of the season allowed on the FB.
  21. Well, the White Sox are good for whatever ails other teams. 435 feet.
  22. Ohtani 1 for last 19, 3 for last 30 13/66
  23. I think Tyler Anderson might be more valuable than Tim Anderson at this point. The one big positive of all the new rule changes is Sox losses arrive 30-45 minutes earlier on average, freeing up a good amount of currently wasted Sox time in one's life.
  24. TMI. Be careful, we'll get more true confessions from Kourtney and Megan Fox. Even Little Caesar's?
