  1. From Mets to Yankees first...had a PEDs in there somewhere was well.
  2. Nightmares of Jaime Navarro glancing at the thread title...
  3. So we're now officially on Rebuild #3 under Hahn. Along with Jose Abreu, the Sox had added Rodon and Tim Anderson through the draft to go along with the likes of Sale, Q (2012 team) and eventually Avi and Eaton... The Red Sox got former Cy Young winner Jake Peavy from Chicago, as well as reliever Brayan Villarreal from Detroit. The White Sox got Avisail García from Detroit, and Frankie Montas, J.B. Wendelken, and Cleuluis Rondón from Boston. Finally, the Tigers got José Iglesias from Boston. This move was from trade deadline 2013. Of his 50 signings since taking over as White Sox GM, just eight have given the White Sox surplus value. That's a woeful, almost unfathomable 16% clip. So, right off, the dirty details for Hahn: Signings 50 Positive surplus value (SV) players 8 Salary paid to free agents $568,235,053 WAR value of those free agents $213,698,292 SV of free agents -$354,536,761 Unlike Hahn’s trade history — most notably the “rebuild deals” and anything having to do with Adam Eaton — there is no “hot stretch” for the GM in free agency. A full class-by-class assessment can’t run all the way up to 2022, because in some cases, players (say, Yasmani Grandal) still have time left on their deals to improve or hurt the overall class’ SV. 4. Can't imagine a bigger contract to Snell than they wouldn't even consider for Giolito ($150-175 million vs. the $50+ million they wanted Gio to accept)...and buying Bellinger as if he's the 2019 MVP again just seems like classic White Sox move under Hahn. Merkin's on the phone right now on the Rosenbloom Show and it seems like Merkin is trying to distance himself as much as possible without agreeing that he basically should be fired. Defending him by saying a lot of teams "go through rebuilds" (compared to Royals and Astros and Cubs). Those banners fly or stay forever, defending the Cubs and Royals as if the White Sox experienced the exact same World Series successes, lol. Should fans feel insulted? Comparing Sale and (now) Giolito wanting to stay there during Rebuild 1.0 where they dealt Peavy for Avi Garcia and brought in Abreu and Anderson and Rodon in that period. There's just no way there's going to bring Lucas back in FA, even though they can throw that out there was an option.
  5. "Pissing on the Sox fans and telling them it's actually raining" Steve Rosenbloom absolutely obliterating Rick Hahn on his show...mostly on the how you can possibly entrust Hahn to execute yet another rebuild and how everything he has done with the personnel and training staff and Grifol has been a complete/utter disaster. Of course, after that segment was over, they had Scott Merkin come on to reminisce about the Eagles. Playing the song "Take It To the Limit" to describe the feeling of Sox fans and their ongoing frustration with the team.
  6. Definitely could use some help in the pen...that Fulmer/Wesnecki spot.
  7. The year after he was drafted in the mid first round... Touki Toussaint Trades & Transactions Baseball Trades & Transactions Involving Touki Toussaint Touki Toussaint Trades & Transactions 06-20-2015 Arizona Diamondbacks traded Bronson Arroyo and Touki Toussaint to Atlanta Braves in exchange for Phil Gosselin.
  8. Still need to make big decisions on Eloy TA Moncada. Grandal will be gone one way or another. That's if they really want to change the tenor around this team and start to instill a more positive team culture. It's pretty clear Anderson doesn't see himself as a team leader anymore. Asked if he knows what went wrong for the underachieving White Sox, Anderson shook his head. "I don't. I wish I did. That's a crazy question," Anderson said. "It's life. Things happen. I try not to think about it. ... I control what I can control. Whatever happens is going to happen anyway." https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/38082036/mlb-trade-deadline-2023-chicago-cubs-white-sox-rumors-buzz
  9. Except the parade will be for him leaving...
  10. Apparently Law hasn't gotten the memo to hate White Sox trades KW was involved with...
  11. Reynaldo already forgotten...
  12. Numbers game...with the 40 man management. There's always a possibility a big arm figures things out (late)...especially starting out a pro career from high school. A lot goes with the feeling you've kind of discovered a sense of home or comfort zone.
  13. Surely he has to audition for teams after being out six weeks...plus he's still got that $4 million attached for next year.
  14. Oops Ohtani 39 Robert 29 Burger 24
  15. Didn't see him listed. Lambert Padilla the only two on 40 m another than Martin.
  16. Giolito's given up two homers and the lead at Toronto 2-1
  17. Guardians announcers saying everyone around the league has been talking about this trait or bad habit with the Sox...how they have a rep for not fighting hard or seeming like they care for each other.
  18. Anderson needs to be pulled for dogging it like that...
  19. Ball tore right through the webbing lol. Third time I've seen that this year.
  20. There is a likely risk of severe weather today. Wind, tornadoes and hail are possible, but wind is the greatest threat. Stay aware and be prepared. Tonight --/70° 69% Fri 28 | Night 70° 69% NE9 mph Thunderstorms likely. Some may be severe, especially this evening. Damaging winds with some storms. Low near 70F. Winds NE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70%. Humidity 85%
  21. Nicholas Padilla and Lambert the only 40 man roster members at Charlotte. Well, not counting the injured Davis Martin that is...
  22. Guardians must be desperate to get these in now while the Sox are fumbling around with their roster by the minute.
