You mention nintendo games having a paper thin story. Honestly, there hasn't been a single video game that I gave a s*** about the story. It's all about gameplay, and nintendo usually brings games that are extremely fun to play.

I would put serious money on the whipping boy of 2013 or 2014 being Rios. Probably with good reason.
