QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jul 15, 2011 -> 03:28 PM) I am in the apparent vast minority of people who were let down by Deathly Hallows 2. It is admittedly because I can't avoid making comparisons between the book and the film. I completely understand the need to streamline a story and cut out a lot of peripheral detail for the sake of a compelling and tight film with such a shorty run time. But there were so many plot deviations that they seemed to do for no reason at all and that didn't enhance the storyline in any way and it was really irritating. I will go out and see it again soon (with the advantage of having not just sat through 21 hours of prior Potter installments like I did before yesterday's midnight showing), and hopefully I warm up to it a bit more. I will end by stating that I strongly disagree with caufield's earlier assertion that the film versions of Deathly Hallows were better than the book. Like all of the other Potter film installments. This last one isn't in the same league — or even in the same solar system as the source material. Agreed, the emotion isn't the same in the movie as it was in the book but i still really enjoyed the film version. My only real problem was three of the main deaths in the book and movie were kind of just glossed over in the movie with a quick cut scene. Still was fun and was 20 times better than the first half which I really was disappointed by.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 15, 2011 -> 03:53 PM) Would you root for an 82-80 season with them missing out on the division by 7 games if it means that Ozzie and KW keep their jobs? It's tough because I can't actually cheer against the sox while watching. My solution to wanting them to lose is to stop watching.

It just says both teams are taking calls for those two players, not that they are talking to each other about a swap.

Deathly Hallows Part 2 was amazing.

A little off topic but I just realized that whenever I need a new tab I just scroll click my soxtalk bookmark.

QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 13, 2011 -> 04:09 PM) Apparently it is a fake account, I don't f***in know yeah who knows, would be weird if someone had a fake account since January and then all of a sudden decided today and Aramis Ramirez was the way to get attention.

According to my source MHizzle85, Aramis to the Angels. Haven't seen it elsewhere so I'm not sure.

QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 08:48 PM) You mean to tell me that they all don't CURRENTLY smoke bong load after bong load before games? He's just saying it's not free now.

Just over a week and I will go from part time underemployed to full time unemployed and have no savings. This blows. Have no idea what to do.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 03:49 PM) Milwaukee did it a couple of years back for Sabathia. Its not a crazy idea. Obviously Sabathia is a different type of pitcher. He is the type that can really care you not only into the playoffs, but through the playoffs.

The mid 20's kind of blow when you don't have a job.

I hate Chris Berman.

QUOTE (FlySox87 @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 07:13 PM) Getting drunk with random dudes, swimming naked in their pool and grabbing their cocks isn't a whorish/slutty/hookerish thing to do? Wow. He's blinded by his infatuation for her. We've all been there, luckily he will get away from it when he goes back to school and probably see the situation from our eyes.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 03:07 PM) Chipper up pal. You got something potentially going. Just ride the wave and let it leave you where it may. ha, just a joke my friend.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 02:53 PM) That's pretty cool that he was good with it. Like I said, I think he would rather someone he knows and trusts date his sister than a random guy who could have questionable morals. Plus, more incentive for you to not break her heart or cheat on her because then you lose 2 people in your life. Sounds like a good move. Yeah, she told me how the last time one of his friends dated her that she broke up with him and he gave her the cold shoulder for almost a year so as long as I'm the one getting hurt, I shouldn't have to lose my friend. Plus, it's generally always me getting hurt with women so I got that going for me.

Yep, not watching this one either. I would avoid the whole series if I didn't have tickets for tomorrow.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 10:25 PM) Pretty much knew it. And good job on your part as well. And happy to help anyway I could for ya Kj. Thanks man, we hung out again last night and had a good time. I'm supposed to take her on an official date this weekend. She told me her brother sat her down and gave her a heads up that I was going to ask her out. ha.
