  1. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 06:22 PM) Hey look! HYPERBOLE! Where is Pee Wee for the word of the day when you need him?
  2. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 06:23 PM) I am fairly confident the NFL will be back before games are missed, but could you imagine if there were two simultaneous lockouts? I would have a ton of free time on my hands and would have no way to spend it because winter sucks. I am confident the NFL will be there though. College sports just aren't the same.
  3. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 06:15 PM) Yeah, bye bye NBA for AWHILE. Will suck big time. Seriously sucks. Monday through Saturday are going to suck sports wise this winter.
  4. I've read the word Hyperbole more times today than every other time combined in my entire life.
  5. It was all a misunderstanding. Someone just overheard a conversation about how good of friends Konerko and Jack Lalanne were.
  6. Steve always gets what he wants by yelling loud.
  7. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:41 AM) This entire organization is an unmitigated f***ing DISASTER. We are looking at YEARS of futility and mediocrity and if you think otherwise you're wiping kool-aid off your chin. This season was over the day they stepped off the plane in Cleveland. This is 100% true.
  8. I just can't think of anything but Walgreens when I see the Nationals logo.
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:55 AM) SEE THIS IS MUCH FUNNIER
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 09:09 AM) The Bulls are playing this very smartly. They know this new cap could kick their faces in within a few years, as some of the kids start to land their big deals. Even with being projected to be in the 25 to 30 drafting range for the foreseeable future, they have set themselves up to have a couple of lottery type draft picks coming to them. That is some New England Patriots type work right there. I've been comparing what the Bulls did last night to the numerous drafts that the Spurs have made like this. I'm quite happy with what the Bulls got.
  11. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 02:49 AM) It would nice to pull back on some of the negativity. There's plenty to be frustrated with but plenty to be excited about. The other night someone posted something to the effect that "obviously the sox are going nowhere this season and you're fooling yourself if you think otherwise." That kind of s*** gets old fast. I agree. The people that act like the White Sox are the most inept organization in baseball really get on my nerves. It's one of the 10 most successful organizations over the past 20 years but some people on this site make it seem like were the f***ing Pirates or something. I'm not blind to some mistakes obviously(Pierre, Edwin, Swisher), but I don't dwell on every single mistake and still cheer for every player on the team, every night.
  12. QUOTE (scenario @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 01:56 AM) Thank you. You said very clearly what I've been thinking about PHT the last couple of months. I'd imagine most of this is in regards to PHT. It's been going downhill for a while. I won't say I haven't contributed because I've definitely said a few things in hyperbole in regards to Juan Pierre, but I still love this site and will continue to post here through any changes.
  13. I see the White Sox as a .500ish team and we have considerably more talent than the Cubs. They are just a terrible team.
  14. My friend (Twins fan) and his girlfriend (Cubs fan) have left their dog with me until sunday. Dog is currently sporting a Cubs collar. I'm pretty sure it should go home with a White Sox one.
  15. 1. Toy Story 2. Monsters Inc. 3. Up 4. Nemo 5. Wall-E 6. Toy Story 3 7. Toy Story 2 8. The Incredibles 9. Ratatouille 10. A Bugs Life 11. Cars
  16. QUOTE (farmteam @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 11:41 PM) Guys guys...no hate. Just love. Speaking of M&Ms, the Crispy ones were by far the best. Was just talking tonight about how I liked the Crispy ones the best.
  17. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 04:57 PM) Sox win 3-2. Pretty good, eh?
  18. Sandberg is a complete ass and will be hated on this board. 100% guarantee. He likes the sac bunt more than Ozzie does.
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 05:28 PM) Or Adam Dunn or Jake Peavy or Juan Pierre or A.J. (next year). I'm not all that upset about Dunn or Peavy. Peavy has just been unlucky as a White Sox player with the injuries and I'm still clinging to the hope that Dunn will snap out of it. Juan Pierre just sucks and should be collecting his paychecks on his couch, but at least that's over after this year. A.J. also isn't so hot but we don't have a viable replacement and he is playing well at the moment, obviously overpaid though.
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 04:24 PM) I was actually a huge fan until he started making $17-19 million a year. Dude gets paid like Roy Halladay. I don't take a players contract into if I like the guy or not. Unless he happens to be on the White Sox and is named Alex Rios or Mark Teahen.
  21. Mark Teahen and Juan Pierre may be as untradeable as Rios.
