QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 10:28 AM) I don't wear my wedding ring, never have. If I ever get married, I doubt I will wear my ring. I hate rings and necklaces and am just annoyed by watches. Count me in the jewelry is awkward group.

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 03:59 PM) The bad thing is they almost never catch-up. They catch up. They just happen to fade again. -

I'm pretty sure the Cavs want Irving and Kanter, I also doubt that Kanter will be there at 4 pretty sure he will go third. Not sure who they will snag in that fourth spot. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 02:36 PM) Er yeah, that's what I meant. Silly me mixing up my WNBA franchises I didn't want to point it out, but to Felix that is probably like calling him a Cubs fan. -
Who are your favourite non-Sox players?

I really am a pretty big Carlos Zambrano fan to be honest. The guy is hilarious. -

meh, hard to care at this point. The team and I seem to be both sleepwalking through this season. -

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 02:44 PM) I guess he would be a good candidate to be my starting center on the team, but using different logic. If he had actually worked to get in shape and gotten down to like 260 pounds, he had enough skill to be a difference-making center. He had a better touch around the basket than virtually anyone in the league right now, but he's too fat and slow to defend or rebound. An in-shape Eddy Curry is probably capable of putting up 20-10 on a regular basis, which is very far from what he's done in his career. I'd say that makes him a pretty major underachiever. The guy could score at will. I can't remember how many times the Bulls would feed him the ball and he would put up our first 6-10 points of the game. Then he would get lazy and completely disappear. His rebounding numbers really show the underachievement. Just brutal. I truly believe a motivated Eddy Curry could have averaged 20-25 points and 10+ boards a game. He really really likes cheeseburgers though. -

Eddy Curry should be at least the backup center. -

f*** the cubs. -
Pretty impressive that Santo made more all star games than seasons he played in.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 19, 2011 -> 07:51 PM) I can't believe how much I look forward to Phil Humber starts now. Never, ever saw that coming back in march Pretty much the only game I expect the Sox to win each week.

NBA Predictions - (Predictabulls Part II)

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 19, 2011 -> 12:42 PM) TWolves sign Rubio. Terms not disclosed. I'm not high on him but looking forward to seeing what all the hype is about. Hopefully sooner than later. Anybody else watching these old drafts on NBATV? it's a who's who of draft flops. I watched a couple of them, some interesting names for sure. -
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 04:37 PM) Wouldn't someone else being there provide more distraction? Usually I can never watch a serious show with more than like 1 or maybe 2 other people. 1 or 2 is perfect. I just find it hard to make myself commit an hour to it by myself. Someone else watching with me would motivate me.

no faith and no patience in this organization

QUOTE (Real @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 04:14 PM) Because its rare that a team just walks up to their starting leadoff hitter, who has been playing everyday, and says we're letting you go, just out of the blue. If his time with the Sox is coming to an end, we'll know because his playing time will start to decrease, and you'll probably see more Lillibridge They'll dump him to an NL team and pick up most of his salary, instead of flat out dumping him to the waiver wire. Big league teams rarely do that to guys respected by their teammates and coaches. It sets a bad precedent and message to future possible Sox players Rios is an example of this happening, though the circumstances were different Obviously I said it in a rash way, I'd sit him down and let him know the situation. Tell him that we are going to attempt to trade him and if there are no takers then we will grant him his release because he won't see much time. I wouldn't actually condone saying get the f*** out of this clubhouse. -
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 04:05 PM) Lee was a lawn ornament in LF............DV cannot be any worse. Exactly. I just expect him to catch the balls he can get to. Maybe use that cannon he has from time to time.

QUOTE (Real @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 03:51 PM) thats not how it works in the big leagues, the only realistic option we can hope for is Pierre either traded, or we package Teahen in a deal with Edwin or another of our starting pitchers, we bench Pierre for the rest of the year, and Viciedo is our new LF No way in hell this team flat out releases Pierre Why the hell not? Because he's Ozzies guy? He's washed up and on the last year of his deal. Seems like the perfect opportunity to flat out release him. I don't want him taking up a roster spot. He can go to Charlotte if he wants or he can be released would be the two options I would give him. -
Saying november is a few months away makes me sad.
-
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 05:56 PM) ? I get distracted way too easily when I'm watching a show of that intensity and drama by myself, I can usually only watch comedies by myself. Same is true for movies.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 03:19 PM) Costco has all 4 books in a set for $19.99 if anyone is interested in reading them. I have them but that is an excellent deal. The first 2 and a half (which is all I've read so far) are very good and very long.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 02:43 PM) 2 and a half months of garbage from Pierre and they haven't made a move. What will 1 weekend do to change that? He could go 0-for the weekend and still start each game next week. I'm with fathom. I really think it's come to a head and I have a tiny bit more faith in this regime(KW) than most. I think he will make the decision and tell Ozzie to get the kid in there.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 02:31 PM) Be nice if Viciedo will be in the lineup, and I think he just might be. I fully believe he will be starting at least 5 times a week by then.
