better get used to it...im sorry but you rose colored glass wearers just cant seem to accept the fact that the sox are a bad baseball team right now... when we finish under 500 for april things will only get worse
-
sounds like he is hoping for a repeat on the north side

this is a good example of why age is so overrated when looking at a prospect...obviously coriano felt at the time that if he didnt lie about his age he may never have been given the chance...look how great a player he is and because he might have been considered a little old for a prospect he would still be on the island.. if miles bust out this year he would be another example...david eckstein (26 his rookie year) and brian giles (28 when he became a full time player) are others.. i think scouts would be better served to re-evaluate their stance on age and just look at skill...how many sorianos are still on the island because they didnt lie about their age???

i think id go with jose valentin first...just a hunch
-
so is thomas demanding a trade or not
-
thats kinda funny..because your last sentence could be considered "morally reprehensible by some"
-
clam down..most of us are just the opposite...i have no expectations at all for this season...so if we fail its nothing im not expecting..if we win well then ill have something to get excited about... im more excited about watching rex grossman in the fall !!
-
good catch...ray was awesome in the pivot...i really miss him...he was a solid player
-
we didnt have to break the bank for the guy...unless you htink 6 million a year is breaking the bank???...we paid konerko 8 million a year..wouldnt that money have been better spent on durham???...it wouldnt have minded him leaving if we had a real prospect to replace him...but we didnt
-
there was nothing wrong with durham's defense...he wasnt a gold glover but he was more than adaquate, especially when you figure in his offense....you have to look at the whole player...you also take into account what you have behind him before you let him walk....since durham left we have been desperate for a 2nd baseman and a leadoff hitter... we had nothing behind durham...and we still dont...that makes him worth just about whatever he wants
-
i agree..we can not afford to have happen what did last year with jimenez and rowand..it just killed us
-
the language of "baby killer" maybe , well im sure is , inflammatory to many...but to many of us it is not "very wrong"... i love you borther and we find common ground on alot of issues but i guess abortion is one we will never see eye to eye on...
-
as far as his dad goes...well..my dad had some views on race and stuff that i dont agree with...i still oved him..and if his views were made public i would never go on record and embarrass him by challenging them...he was my father so i have no problem with mel not denouncing anything his father said
-
the money given to konerko , or even lee , shoould have went to durham...you pay for up the middle players..the league is deep in 1st baseman and corner outfielders
-
if everyone is serious about change , then the only way that will happen is if us fans , the die hards , stop buying season tickets , stop going to games at all...if every ballpark in america is 3/4's empty then the owners and players will have to take notice despite all the changes to the game and the owners and players disgust of the average joe fan , w/o us , they cant survive...
-
interesting...but if we did that does it then give government the right to pull tax exempt status from churches who dont accept homosexuality??..or churches that dont support the war in iraq???..its one of those slippery slope questions... but the fact that the church hieracy knew of the problem and didnt handle it does give your position some credibility

"Sullivan is just another guy who did well in the NL, but couldn't make the transition to the AL with its DH rule well." ...his entire AL career has been a couple months with the sox...pitched 14 2/3 innings for us...only gave up 9 hits and had 13k's...his 3.77 era with us is lower than his career 3.91 era...he basically did for us what he has been doing in cincy for years
-
think KW will ever write a letter like that to us
-
one has a local sports radio station saying maddux is in new york tonight
-
kw out , evans in
