  1. THEY SCORED A RUN. SOUND THE ALARMS.
  2. what's this, the 4th shutout in 20 games? we're on pace to be shut out... quite a few times this year
  3. i've been watching BA's at-bats closely since he's taken over the starting role, and one thing i've noticed (primarily) is he's not chasing the breaking balls away watch his at-bats yesterday against halladay, he was being busted inside over and over with that two-seam fastball, and then halladay would go off the plate away with what looked like a cutter or some type of breaking ball (maybe a slider), and BA would lay off of them in all of his at-bats, it looked as though he knew he was being set up by the pitcher, they were nice to see and unlike any other AB's i've seen him take as a sox player
  4. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 02:22 PM) anyone else feel like this 4 team logjam at the top of the AL central is going to be this way thru most of the summer? Or do you see some team breaking away? someone will break away from the rest of the pack, mauer comes back for the twins soon and they're 3-0 in 1-run games, they could be the team to do it despite being under .500 right now
  5. after today we'll be 0-7 with 3 shutouts when not hitting a homerun? edit: and 1-3 in 1-run games
  6. leadoff double, that run will score
  7. jose has proven me wrong today, compared to his other outings this is an outstanding improvement for him, against the best team in the american league no less let's get jose at least a ND
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 01:32 PM) It's really scary how he still swings and misses at so many fastballs in the 90 mph range. he loads his swing regardless of the pitch-type, which makes his swing look as slow as a slug on fastballs but he crushes breaking pitches
  9. the real josh fields is starting to emerge, that average down to .266
  10. toronto playing like they don't care today, tons of defensive miscues, and halladay doesn't have anything close to his best stuff, and we're stranding runners left and right meanwhile jose is sharpening up, we have to take this game, there's no excuse for not winning today
  11. jermaine owes paulie a porterhouse after that AB
  12. QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 12:24 PM) I hope that failed opportunity doesn't end up biting us later. it won't, jose will give up a lot more runs
  13. this team confuses the s*** out of me, seriously i don't get how a team can be blown out or blow out the opponent so frequently
  14. sending him down means they're bringing someone else back up wonder who it'll be
  15. lol, what a garbage team
  16. the 3 runs they scored in the 1st inning will not even matter because they're gonna end up scoring about twice that, i have a feeling tallet is good, and the jays are on fire right now
  17. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 23, 2009 -> 08:27 PM) hit somebody, bobby or quentin could move out of the way 42HBP in the minors, in one season, move out of the f***ing way
  18. the replay they showed from the side angle (facing quentin), was clear to me it hit his right palm/thumb area
  19. we're not winning this game. poor defense + s***ty belt-high fastballs = 4-0 orioles, with a runner on 2nd with 0 outs in the 3rd inning
