  1. Morneau with the bases juiced, lets see what happens here
  2. QUOTE (tommy @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 01:48 PM) Common Alexei. juan uribe swing right there book is out on this lineup on 3-2 counts, konerko usually does a good job with walking on 3-2 but a lot of the hitters on this team sincerely BELIEVE they are always going to get a hittable pitch on 3-2, and time and time again we strikeout or GIDP because the pitcher plays to our over-aggressive nature bad call by HP Ump on that curve to uribe, hilarious
  3. similarities to BMac are startling, with Bucholz. at least to me
  4. twins have ducks on the pond, with 0 outs if we go back 1.5 that's gonna suck wow, boston has a moundvisit when their pitcher is having problems what a f***ing concept.
  5. nice AB paulie, hopefully our guys can sit on this dude's fastball until he can start throwing his curve more consistently does he have a straight change?
  6. I foresee us putting up a few more on Clay before all's said and done, he just doesn't look all that impressive to me. but i've been wrong before
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 01:37 PM) There's one!! If the Sox can win this game, getting Pedroia with 2 outs was the boost we needed. only if Gavin gets his head out of his ass
  8. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 01:35 PM) Bucholz throwing a no-hitter. not anymore, i love me.
  9. stolen base AND now a 2-1 count on Pedroia Gonna be 5-0 here soon why the f*** hasn't Coop or AJ went to the mound yet this teams' mound visit philosophy is the worst I've seen for a contending team
  10. another 2-out situation for gavin, will he get burned again?
  11. QUOTE (tommy @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 01:27 PM) Gavin is such a question mark with his performance. question mark? there's no questions left to be answered here, he's just pitching horribly today and he wasn't very good against DET his last time out either mental midget Gavin, toughen up for f***'s sake
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 01:24 PM) AJP is 1 for his last 17....please, please get him out of the 2nd spot. You have him struggling in front of CQ, and Dye struggling behind him (3 for last 30). i'd like to see Swisher hitting 2nd in front of CQ, perhaps he'd see more fastballs and perhaps start hitting like he did in Oakland when he had big frank hitting behind him
  13. lmao at this team when facing guys with high ERA's 1-2-3 for Clay!
  14. doesn't matter, unless we somehow overtake 1st place with our record in the AL over the angels, we're going to be playing as the road team in every series. And with our homerun or nothing style... it will be a quick exit. this team's heavy reliance on the homerun simply does not adjust well to other ballparks, and when we don't homerun at home, we lose by large margins (see last nights game)
  15. i just need to restate how f***ing glad I am that Boone is being sent down, my GOD that dude was f***ing terrible lately. how the hell he started the season so well and then fell flat on his face so fast is beyond me
  16. wow horacio has really good stuff but has been inconsistent this year i don't see this as a bad move thank god Logan was sent down, I was done watching the garbage he was throwing
  17. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 07:15 PM) I would say it should be Poreda. With the sink and the velocity, you rely on stuff in the dog days of Summer over bringing up another finesse pitcher. Rongey said this morning (granted, this was before our desparate need for another starter) that the Sox are not ready to start the timer on Poreda
  18. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 11:12 AM) Stat of the day: Quentin is hitting .429, with 4 HR and 9 RBI in his last 9 games.
  19. QUOTE (JFields27 @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 10:02 PM) that was good, I got confused when they said sox a couple times in there post cuz i was thinking our sox ha ... anyways they drop f bombs like none other on that hah it's probably frustrating when you ditch your own team for a bandwagon club like the Red Sox, then watch them choke away the division
  20. is it just me or is CQ hitting a lot of solo homeruns
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 09:23 PM) I was just going through some of the stats. Carlos Quentin is literally god-like in close games. Before tonight, Close and late, 1.160 OPS. Innings 7-9 in general, 1.100. Eat your heart out Ortiz. Those are MVP type numbers. hamilton isn't that good in close/late situations, and he'll still get MVP because of popularity (when comparing him to quentin, I mean) bleh
  22. QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 10:54 AM) Ozzie in Costume trying to avoid the suspension. win
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 09:37 PM) Excellent win tonight. Thome and Ramirez had the clutch 2 out hits. how does alexei keep doing what he's doing
