Were about to start all star practice and I am scared for some of the velo our kids are going to see against some of these other area leagues. Its going to be a shock to them for sure.

I think this is spot on. They really can't carry Elko without removing Vaughn.

Baseball loves to give so much credit to things that never happened, its crazy. Hey this guys hitting .180 but he just hits the ball right at people otherwise he would be awesome!

The problem with Vaughn is he has 588 games and 2,367 plate appearances under his belt. He's just not any good, its been long enough to see this. He needs to go, maybe a change of scenery would do him good (and I mean another organization, not Charlotte.) Compared to someone like Sosa, he only has 190 games and 677 plate appearances. He's a guy you put out there all year to see if he's going to turn it on or not.

I can't imagine a scenario where they bring Vaughn back at 5.85M and then DFA him 1 month into the season. You would think if that was even an option, he would have just been non tendered in the offseason.

The player development was bad under an old regime, now Getz is the GM so what happened when he wasn't GM doesn't apply to him. Also, they have made outstanding hires inside the organization. Outstanding hires. You can already see how much different this team is than last year top to bottom.

While I agree it’s more likely he’s traded for some scratch offs, there’s no way his option gets picked up if he plays like this all year. They aren’t paying $20M for this if they can just cut bait you know how this organization works.

I feel like Robert isn't giving any effort... the young kids and the vets trying to hang onto their careers are giving effort, they just aren't any good.

Also if you put any truth into Getz is the one putting together the lineups, its even more of an inditement to how bad he is at his job.

We'll find out, because he's either getting traded or a declined option. I don't really see any middle ground here. There is no way they pick up a $20M option on a guy hitting .220 with a .600 OPS and health concerns.

After putting the worst team in baseball history on the field in 2024, you would expect there to be some sort of improvement in year 2. There is none, and this team looks just as bad if not worse than 2024. I believe the only way that happens is if you don't know what you're doing. This should come as a shock to no one, as Chris Getz was not and is not qualified to be a GM of a MLB team.
