What's obvious is they are scrambling to find arms to fill out a rotation when all these young guys inevitably need to get shut down. They still have a whole half of a season to get through and they are going to need someone to pitch.

Nobody with a grip on reality should complain about the eventual return for him. The complaints should be about not unloading him when they decided to nuke the roster like they should have. I think we all know the return is going to be very disappointing as it should be given his play and contract.

Hawk called games as a passionate fan of the White Sox. Schriffen sounds like a guy who is artificially trying to be an over the top fan about everything positive that happens. I get that he can't just sit there and bad mouth the White Sox the whole broadcast but I also don't need to constantly hear about how good something is going right now when in reality, its not. I mean just yesterday we had to listen to him glazing Altavilla and his changeup mere moments before he lost the game.

Silver lining is at least this guy might have a future here and isn't a 30+ year old warm body. They need to get Iriarte up here as well eventually even though he has the same issues.

They are desperate for offense, they need an impact bat in the worst way as they have nothing right now. You hope Braden Montgomery can turn into that but outside of him its pretty bleak. Meidroth, Teel, Quero look like they could be solid guys but they need that big time guy in the worst way.
