Shane Bieber to the Blue Jays
Shane Bieber has thrown 12 MLB innings since 2023, if he can net a Top 5 organizational prospect I sure hope they can get a solid return for Houser.

Don't break it ALL down. Go for 63!!!!!
Andrew Benintendi is one of the reason why this team is bad. He has been worth negative value in his Sox career, which means he is hurting this team or preventing them from winning more games. As someone who cares so deeply about winning games, you should want him off this team as well.

Buddy this team is 29 games under .500 and the second worst team in baseball, I don't understand how else to explain to you that the only thing that matters right now is developing the talent that is going to make this team competitive again, in the future, because it isn't going to be this season or even next season. Wins will matter when this team is competitive again, try to see the big picture here.

Wins don't matter right now, the only thing that matters is the development of the kids on this team.

Yankees acquire Austin Slater for RHP Gage Ziehl
I won't argue that, but then again I have no idea what its like to be a fan of a team that demands excellence.

Yankees acquire Austin Slater for RHP Gage Ziehl
The Yankees are 4 games out of first and hold the top wildcard spot, they're in the playoff picture every year. Those teams don't give two shits about trading their 18th ranked prospect to bolster their roster for a playoff run. Meanwhile, the White Sox trade a top 10 organizational prospect for a 26 year old no ceiling OFer coming off a 101 loss season. In what world should any Sox fan be shading the Yankees for attempting to upgrade their playoff caliber roster?

On the flip side, when your in the race you can afford to send your 18th best prospect to a garbage team to get a platoon guy that could help you win a World Series.

You get a 22 year old SP prospect for a dumpster dive signing, A+ in my book. I would have figured he was more likely to be DFA'd than used to get a pitching prospect if I was betting before the season started.

Adrian Houser traded to TB for former top prospect Curtis Mead
Yeah it looks more likely they wont trade Tauchman, which is hopefully because no one is interested or else I think that's just foolish. You can sign a cheap veteran to give a leadership presence in the offseason if you need it that much.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
You have to sit him if you believe you can get real value for him. The deadline is tomorrow, why on earth would you risk him getting injured? That makes no sense at all.

Robert is going to end up getting Craig Kimbrel'd isn't he? (Option picked up with the intent on moving him, then getting nothing anyways) Imagine a world where the Sox go through this deadline and don't trade any of Robert, Tauchman, and Houser. Talk about a kick in the nuts.

Sox trade Andrew Vaughn to acquire Aaron Civale
This is crazy With the Sox in 48 games: 7 Walks, 48 K's With the Brewers in 14 games: 7 Walks, 6 K's I know its just a hot streak and he's not good, but damn this wasn't like a slow start then he heated up he basically got traded and was immediately awesome. Even his minor league numbers before his callup were solid. I think you have to assume the Brewers had him make some sort of adjustment that has just taken off. He was not just struggling with us, he was downright atrocious.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
The majority of us can agree it was a mistake to not trade him after 2023. Anyone trying to defend that decision today is just being stubborn. You can talk all you want about not getting the value back then, I can respect that stance, but to dig in your heels still today is so ridiculous. This guy that was too valuable to trade is arguably worth nothing today. It was a mistake that absolutely will stunt this rebuild timeline.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
It’s going to go down as one of the biggest mistakes of this regime. You held onto an absolute diamond asset and you got two 100 loss seasons and a bag of balls in return when all said and done.

Totally botched run down

What do you expect, they’re a collection of bad professional baseball players now running this organization.

Sosa just has zero baseball smarts. Dude is a total dumbass.

7/27 GT - Cubs at Sox (1:10pm CDT)
Pretty sure he’s not the decision maker here

I don’t get it. They refuse to play Teel and Queeo at the same time but will just toss one of their most important future pieces at 3B at the most difficult level.

Attendance update...
Not to you and me, there’s plenty of people that go to games just happy to be there.
-
Attendance update...
Why? Plenty of people just enjoy baseball not to mention all the Sox fans that don’t care if they are good or not.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
I can’t wait for this guy to be gone, and I never thought that would ever happen but here we are.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
Which makes me believe there is nothing close otherwise he’s just out of the lineup. There is no reason to lie about an injury in this situation.

In theory, with the current payroll situation yes we could afford his $20M option no problem. The issue is will they pick up a $20M option? I still find it hard to believe that happens. You kept him for 2024 and that was a disaster. You held firm for 2025 and if it turns out no one is offering anything even slightly enticing you think they are going to commit $20M to him to see if maybe the third time is the charm? I completely agree with you, I don't think JR is going to sign off on committing $20M to the player after what he has seen now for the past 2 seasons.
