  1. Nvm, I just looked at it.. I dont really think picking who is gonna win between two teams is a legit measure of someones sports knowledge
  2. QUOTE(RexFives @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 11:08 PM) the point is to take the polls, and the more you win, the more points you build up. you can also lose points by predicting incorrectly. its a way to make predictions but add the competitive nature to it. its fun with a group of friends so you can all compete for bragging rights. you can always invite them if thats a route u would like to take Predictions about what?
  3. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 05:34 PM) awesome signature dude... anyway to make me one for my madden league.. just add Soxpranos in there somewhere .. thks What team? Miami?
  4. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 04:36 PM) FWIW, in an interview this weekend, he said he'll be wearing #8 this year. Im well aware of this, but changing the numbers is beyond my ability right now.. otherwise I would have done it
  5. Alright Wite, I finally made it for you.. Hope you enjoy this, because youll be seein it all season when Culpepper is rollin all over the AFC East and ESPECIALLY those Buffalo losers..
  6. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 05:48 PM) But he was having a Pro Bowl season in those first 6 games. Then it went downhill because Flozell went down and we had no suitable replacements. Drew has defficiencies, and I'm not saying he's a top 3 QB in the league, but I say with a good O-Line, he's top 3 in the NFC. Top 5 at least. And considering I'm a Dallas fan and have been for years and have the dish. Dallas is all I watch when they're on. Having a pro bowl season and tanking the rest of the year doesnt make you a great QB.. and even so, he had plenty of good games without Flozell there as the season went on
  7. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 12:48 AM) Just on these points, to show how important having Adams was, Bledsoe had a 101.25 QB rating in those first 6 games, when he had Flozell protecting his blindside. Bledsoe suffered down the stretch because the protection from the like Rob Pettiti was getting worse and worse at the end of the season (if you saw Leonard Little own him like no tomorrow in the season finale you see why). He's got his shortcomings no doubt. He's slow, he's getting older, and he hangs onto to the ball for too long. But if you give him time, he'll produce. And with some serious weapons in Owens, Glenn, Witten and Julius Jones, I can't see why Bledsoe can't have a good season, if the O-Line can stay healthy, and the likes of Fabini and Kosier provide improvements on the line as well. Im not tryin to say Bledsoe cant have a good season or that he is a terrible quarterback.. but he isnt a pro bowl QB or one of the top QB's in the league
  8. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 09:12 PM) Bledsoe is in the lower echelon of QBs in the league. He still has a cannon, but that's about all he has going for him at this point. He should not be a starting QB, yet he is...this is something I don't understand at all. With a good offensive line, he is top 15...without a good OLine, he's one of the 5 worst in the game without a doubt in my mind. Thank you kind sir, now I shall begin on your Dolphins sig
  9. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 07:05 PM) Actually b4 Flozell went down Bledsoe was having a great season.... everyone really knows that with a good OL Bledsoe is a great QB with a bad one he is Kyle Orton esque.... With the Cowboys revamped O-Line and their numerous offensive weapons Id expect a big season out of Bledsoe. Also its pretty ignorant to say I know more football than you when you dont know someone in real life. Bledsoe is not a great QB anymore no matter what kind of offensive line he is behind.. He turns the ball over way too much now (52 fumbles the past 4 years as opposed to 68 in his first 9 years) He is a statue in the pocket, and you cant blame just the OLine for his problems.. In their wins he had a QB rating of 105.4 In their losses it was 59.8 Is that the OLines fault? Or more like when Bledsoe is bad he is REAL bad.. Bledsoe had a rating of 70 or lower in ALL of their loses, I think you can hardly blame the Offensive Line for that.. An offensive line is either gonna be good for the most part or bad for the most part.. They arent going to go up and down from game to game like QB play can as seen above by the games Dallas won and Lost.. How about when it came down to crunch time and Dallas needed that extra win to get into the playoffs? In their last 5 games, 3 of them had Bledsoe with ratings of 36.9, 42.0, and 53.6.. All losses. Like I said, Bledsoe is not a top QB anymore.. Sure, he is above average, but he is not gonna be leading Dallas deep into the playoffs. If Bledsoe had great ratings throughout the begining of the season and then tanked the rest of the season, sure, I might agree with you.. but thats not what happened.. 4-2 with Flozell Adams 5-5 without Flozell Adams Should be 6-4 without him if Bledsoe wouldnt have blown the Seattle game. Either way, im done arguing my point about Bledsoe. You guys can think what you want, I just dont agree with you.. And its just as ignorant to claim that I dont know someone because I dont agree with him on something.. I dont need to know someone in real life to see that they dont have much knowledge about something.
  10. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 04:28 PM) Do you even know when Flozell went down? Better question, do you even know who Flozell Adams is? Haha, im pretty sure I know more about football than you do.. Apparently you didnt watch every single Dallas game this season like I did So sit there and think Drew Bledsoe is an All Pro QB, fine by me, but I know what I see and im pretty sure many other people would agree that Bledsoe is no longer one of the upper QB's in the league

    Losing Love

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 10:21 PM) Hi. Short end of the story is this: my girlfriend and I broke up. She left me. There wasn't anything wrong with the relationship. I'd rather not go into the circumstances, but she and I were a wonderful couple. Largely, the break came out of fear of committment, and that's as far as I'd like to go with that. It broke my heart. It was a month ago. Since then, I've tried to move on with my life. Today, I went on a date with a girl and had a splendid time. Part of me, however, feels down because if it were up to me, I'd have been with my ex. I wasn't thinking that at the time -- no way! -- but now, after the date, there's a small sadness in me. A bit of regret. And, let me just say, that I'm known to understate. How long will it take for me to stop caring about her and missing her? Has anyone here ever lost a love and to some extent regretted it for the rest of their lives, or did you get over it? Depends on how you really felt about her.. I was with my girlfriend for about 3 1/2 years when we split and I still think about her all the time.. I dont know if I could ever let her go, it sucks man I know exactly how you feel.. You can try to move on and get over her but if you have strong feelings for her I dont know if you are going to be able to do it.. I cant at least..
  13. Who is this Boone Logan guy and where did he come from?
  14. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 10:25 AM) You would know then that Bledsoe was actually good/probowl quality until Flozell Adams was injured. Pro Bowl!? I dont think so. I did however see him make some costly turnovers that pretty much cost them the playoffs last year.. Dallas will not win 11 or 12 games this year.. The NFC East is going to be too good, and plus, I just hate Dallas so nothing would make me happier than seeing them fall on their faces again

    I am Finally back..

QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 17, 2006 -> 05:02 AM) Watched Friday Night Lights again a couple weeks ago and thought about you. Regardless, WB MOS.. give us all some hell. And hope the pups are doing well. Yup they are.. Mine is gettin huge, they are gettin close to a year and a half old now
  16. Sadly I have to see Dallas on TV every week because I live in effin Texas, Bledsoe was very below average a lot of games.. Now he may be fine for now, but for the future no.. and for the sake of Terrell Owens, it might be a problem as well
  17. Haha, he cant even get along with a Pro Bowl QB in Donnovan McNabb... Cant wait to see what happens as he goes a season with sorry ass Drew Bledsoe
  18. QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 11:11 PM) Moss had 13 TD's in 13 games. 'Nuff said. From what I saw of some of Culpepper's interceptions, they were his own fault. His line gave him enough time, and his receivers got themselves as open as they normally would, but Culpepper just didn't pull the trigger in time. The offensive line can only do so much, and if the QB holds onto the ball for too long, it's no longer the lines fault when something bad happens. Yea, the line wasn't the best, and did lead to some of his mistakes, but I give him equal blame. And he can complete all the passes he wants.. it doesn't mean much if his TD:INT ratio is 1:2. The past is the past. He was a great player before getting hurt and with one of the best receivers in the game on his team. This is the present, and after a severe knee injury. Lets see him do that again, and then I'll be convinved. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that what you are supposed to do if you are hurt? You aren't exactly going to come out and say "I'm still in severe pain, and I don't know if I'll ever be as good as I was". Ok I need to post this here.. its from a poster on Finheaven.com and its titled the Culpepper Manifesto.. Hope this will help you
  19. QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 03:08 PM) Fixed. He also hasn't shown anything without a Randy Moss on his team. Moss acted as the safety net for him, and if he ever had any questions, he'd just throw it to Moss. Last year, it was pretty obvious that he wasn't comfortable, whether it be because he didn't have Moss or another reason. We'll see how he rebounds from his injury, and we'll see if he can do something without Moss. I, for one, think he will suffer. Also, the point that they overpaid still stands. Culpepper's value fell after the Vikings bluff was called, yet the Dolphins *still* gave up a second rounder. Haha please.. Culpepper had his career year in a season were Moss was almost ther 3rd leading reciever on the team.. The "Culpepper is nothing without Moss bit" is growing tiresome.. And he isnt a former Franchise QB, he still is.. Lots of people have had knee injuries to come back just as strong, and Culpepper is already ahead of schedule as it is.. Last season Minnesota's offensive line was weak, they had new offensive coordinator, and they were weak at runningback.. How do you think he is gonna suffer when he has a pro bowl WR in Chris Chambers who put up outstanding numbers with a QB who had a 51% completion percentage? Culpepper despite struggling at the BEGINING of the year last year still had a 64.4% completion percentage.. Chambers is better than anything they had last year and can be just as effective as Moss was for Culpepper.. Ronnie Brown is better than any RB he has had.. Lets not forget Randy McMichael and Marty Booker.. Oh, and how about the fact that he is actually going to have a defense this year to help him out? 20,162 yards 64.4 comp% 135 TD 86 INT 91.5 Passer Rating in 7 seasons, holds the 4th best EVER season for a QB in NFL History, and is a 3 time Pro Bowler.. Go look at the numbers man.. Im sorry, but Culpepper is a franchise QB.. And to give one away for a 2nd round pick (A pick that will be in the 50's) is an absoloute steal.. The offense he will be coming into is going to be similiar to the offense that he ran in Minnesota under Scott Linehan because Saban has already said they are going to keep a lot of the same things.. This was an absoloute steal, a 2nd round pick for a pro bowler franchise QB? No question.. Culpepper has already said that he feels like a new man, the smile on his face when they announced him as Miami Dolphins QB Daunte Culpepper was enough to win me over.. I cant wait to see #8 slinging passes in South Florida next season.. And youll see that he hasnt lost anything and still is atop QB
  20. QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 04:36 PM) Am I the only one that thinks the Dolphins overpaid for him? They bluffed that a team had been offering a second rounder last week, and all three teams called their bluff, retracting their offers. Now, even though Culpepper's value was decreased, they still give up a second rounder, which can be a very solid player. Culpepper's knee is shot, his salary is large (IIRC), and they could have gotten him for much, much less. I don't think Culpepper will ever be the same player he was two years ago, and I think the Dolphins would have been better off going with a QB in the draft, or even signing Brees. Dude, you must be the only one to think that.. Miami got a FRANCHISE QB for a 2nd round pick, not only that, they restructured his contract and actually SAVED money on the cap.. And for the record, Culpeppers career rating is 91.5 while also posting the 4th best QB performance in NFL history.. He is on a much better team now and is determined to come back 100%.. His knee is way ahead of schedule and he should be back for week 1.. Miami robbed Minnesota here, I dont know how you can argue against that with all things considered..
  21. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 12:51 PM) I don't believe he will. He gets into trouble even when he listens to the team (Remember the MNF Desperate Housewives thingy?). Even on top of that, he's going to be taking a much smaller contract this offseason than a guy with his skill set should be taking, so I'd say it's almost certain that he'll be holding out at some point in the future again after he's been on his "best behavior" for a year. I just dont think there is any way he can afford to do that.. He will never get a job again if he pulls his same s***..
  22. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 12:49 PM) Who do the Fins currently have as their #2 QB? As it stands right now their 2 roster QB's are Daunte Culpepper and Cleo Lemon.. They have Brock Berlin in NFLE right now and he looked somewhat promising in the pre season last year as a future backup.. They have contacted Tommy Maddux's agent so its possible he might be brought in for backing up, but Mularkey seems to like what he sees in the potential for Cleo Lemon..
  23. Culpepper has passed the physical and it is now official.. Also Gus Frerotte has been released, possibly more of a hint that they feel Culpepper is going to be ready to go for the start of the season.. Man, I am so pumped
  24. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 14, 2006 -> 04:11 PM) As a Bills fan first and a Bears fan second...I hope the Dolphins, Patriots, Packers or Vikings wind up with them. Let them dismantle one of those teams from the inside out. Wrong Terrell Owens cant afford to be a douche bag again or his career is over.. The next place he goes hes gonna have to be on his best behavior.. I think Dallas might have released MeShawn to go after TO though
