So for some reason you had a McDonalds logo on your hard drive?

All "O" and plenty of go
There's a reason why we're called the best offense in the American League.

SOXTALK Trade Talk
That would be ideal. I want Randy Johnson. Johnson Garcia Buerhle Loaiza Garland Garland as a 5th starter itself is something to be happy about. I would love it if we got Johnson...

Carlos Beltran revisited
Very much so. We'd just have to hope the Cards can keep up what they're doing then.

Carlos Beltran revisited
A lot can change in 1 month. The Astros could fall to 8 games back and figure they'd need to trade Beltran since they're done for.

Game Thread: 6/30/04 Twins/Sox
I hope he doesn't lose otherwise we get threads calling for KW's head and Garcia's head as well. Radke's a great pitcher. If we lose tomorrow, it'll be because of Radke, not Garcia.

Carlos Beltran revisited
I wouldn't doubt it. They probably won't resign him at seasons end. They ended up giving up Dotel, maybe they'll try to pry Youkilis from the Red Sox. Hopefully they wouldn't settle with a Lofton from the Yankees. Who knows..

A Made Up Stat
It's obvious these guys don't care about their ERA. Some posters here take ERA a bit too seriously though. Esteban/Mark/Jon could all have sub 3 ERA's just as easily as their 4 ERAs.

Congrats to KW
A LH power hitter would be great, but what position do we sacrifice? Should we try to package Rowand and prospects into a trade for Finley? Package Konerko/Prospects/Cash for Delgado?

Timo Perez
I think 90% of forum-goers should be enjoying that crow with you, including myself. Timo has been a great addition. His strange catches in the outfield, while scary, and may some day hurt him, once, maybe twice, aren't really too big of a deal. I can tell Timo is having lots of fun in the clubhouse. After he hit the homer against the Cubs, him and Willie were high-fiving and having all sorts of fun in the dugout. Timo's no catalyst. He's great for our chemistry.

about shingo
Shingo has pinpoint control, and extremely nasty stuff. If they ever hit him hard, it'll be because he didn't have his stuff on the said day. And for his frisbee, they can sit on it all they want. They will not hit it. A few Twins hitters sat on it today and they either popped out or grounded out. If they really want to hit Shingo, their best bet would be to sit on his fastball, because the frisbee is unhittable.

A Made Up Stat
We all know our rotation is not as great as the Cubs. We all know that Ozzie tends to leave his starters in for more than 100 pitches. Manuel, and most managers, pull their starters after thay give up quite a few runs. Ozzie leaves them in there for another shot. Sometimes they come back strong, sometimes they don't. Garland, Buerhle, Loaiza have all had these oppurtunities, and in the few times they have been left in, their ERA has ballooned. Garland, Buerhle, and Loaiza all have ERA's in the 4's, but I think it'd be safe to say they would be higher 3's or lower 4's if Ozzie did pull them if he somehow knew they were going to give up more runs. For the rest of the season, I'm not going to worry about starting pitchers ERA's. I came up with this while thinking last night, but what do you all think?

A realistic view of where we may be
Aboz, it was great that you came back and criticized yourself for the original post! A lot of people were ticked after the first Cubs loss and rightfully so. It would have been a lot easier for you to just pretend this thread didn't exist after the fact. My respect for you shot up 10 fold, if it matters to you.

Koch's FLA debut
At least they won't have to resign him.

The Miguel Olivo Game Thread
Olivo hits a missile into a 3-1-3 fielders choice. Ball bounced off the first basemen and the catcher bare handed it in the air and tossed it back like basketball. Olivo ran hard and stepped onto first and pulled off limping. Hopefully he's alright...
