  1. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 10:31 PM) It would be easiest if you saved the spreadsheet as an HTML file, and uploaded it here. Then it's just a clickable link, and it looks all pretty. Yeah, how do you do that?
  2. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 10:02 PM) What splits did you do? If anyone can help me figure out how to post HTML in here, I can probably get stats posted. I guess I should reword splits for stats. I just have the overall stats for May, not 'splits' per say.
  3. I calculated the May splits for minor leaguers by using Excel for my May in Review article that I was going to write for FutureSox. Since FS is down for a few more days I figured I'd just post the spreadsheet here and write the article later. Of course, it won't attach directly to this site because it won't upload excel files for some reason. If someone knows a way around this or a comprimise, please tell me, it would be appreciated. In the meantime, if you want the stats you can just PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send it as an attachment that way.
  4. Charlotte and Kanny got rained out. Birmingham lost 3-1 in 10. Jenks got the loss after a nice Phillips start. Rogo with 2 doubles. They are scheduled to have a doubleheader so 3 extra innings is not what either team was looking for.Box Score Winston-Salem lost 7-1 this afternoon. Haeger got roughed up. Box Score
  5. MLB.com radio had a mock 1st round with beat writers and gurus for most of the teams. Go here to listen to picks 1-15. Here's their top 15: 1. DBacks: Upton 2. Royals: Gordon 3. Mariners: Tulowitzki 4. Nationals: Ryan Zimmerman, 3B, Virginia 5. Brewers: Maybin 6. Jays: Romero 7. Rockies: Luke Hochevar 8. DRays: Townsend 9. Mets: Hansen 10. Tigers: Pelfrey 11. Pirates: Andrew McCutchen, OF, HS (FL) 12. Reds: Jacoby Ellsbury, OF, Oregon St. 13. Orioles: Jay Bruce, OF, HS (TX) 14. Indians: Ryan Braun, 3B, Miami 15. Sox: Brian Bogusevic, LHP, Tulane I think everybody would be ecstatic if the top 14 went that way. I would love to have Bogusevic.
  6. QUOTE(JimH @ May 31, 2005 -> 10:15 PM) Dan, are you having the same trouble accessing the boxes as I am? I go to BA, click on scoreboard, and then try to click the box score link on the game line score. I get an error message from minorleaguebaseball.com and worse, I can't hit "back" and get back to BA. It always seems like in the morning, I can access them just fine. I don't know. I don't use BA for boxes. I just use milb.com. However, I have had trouble once before. The link for the box worked through the league scoreboard as opposed to the team page, so I'm guessing sometimes they have bad links at spots.
  7. Knights won 3-2. Person with a solid start. Baj 3 K's in relief. Box Score Hogs got shutout 6-0. Box Score Kanny won 4-1 behind a sick Gio. Box Score
  8. Scranton W/B @ Charlotte Brown hit a HR, 1-0. Person is actually starting tonight. Montgomery @ Birmingham 7 Phillips Myrtle Beach @ Winston-Salem Hogs down 1-0, Dizard starting. Rome @ Kannapolis Gio starting, scoreless early.
  9. Punch and Judy Garland is on the clock with the Diamondbacks. (There isn't actually a clock, but it's cool to say that. )
  10. Rules 1. A poster picks for the team he/she has selected or has been selected for him/her. 2. Pick the player you think the team will pick. If you have no idea who the team will pick, just go on who you think is the best player available. Remember: teams pick mostly on best player available and not on need in the 1st round. However, some teams have a history of picking more towards high school or college players. 3. Signups are still available. Post in the signups thread to take a team if you haven't done so or if you want to take another team. Posters are allowed as many teams as they want as we still have numerous openings. 4. I will PM everyone as their pick is next if they forget. 5. Any other questions, simply ask in the signups thread. If you want to look up some info on past drafts to get a team's draft history or look up some info on some draft prospects try Baseball America or MLB.com's Draft Coverage. For info on what certain teams will be looking at go to John Sickels' blog site. They are having a 5 round mock draft as posted in the 'Community Mock Draft' thread. If you scroll down or go to the next page you will find a topic called MOD: team and that will have info on who those teams will be looking to draft. Bold indicates correct pick. First Round Order 1. 11. Alright Heads convinced me to start it today. I'll make another thread that will have all the details and rules. I'm still allowing sign ups for the opens spots. I'll PM all the people that have signed up saying that it's starting and will send another PM when it's their pick if they forget. I figure this might hit a few snags along the way that would make it hard to get done in 2-3 days. That's the hope, but that's only if everything goes smoothly. Again, signups are still open.
  12. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 31, 2005 -> 03:53 PM) I don't see any reason why we just can't start and then if there's no one around, the resident Italian can make the pick. I was thinking something like that, but I'm going to give people another day to sign up.
  13. I want to get this started as soon as we fill up the teams. I'm going to allow people to take as many teams as they want, just say so in this thread. We have 8 openings remaining: Blue Jays (6), Devil Rays (8), Pirates (11), Yankees (17), Cubs (20), Red Sox (23, 26), Astros (24), Twins (25).
  14. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 30, 2005 -> 07:52 PM) Why complain about France? Was there any chance of the Dutch signing this thing? HELL NO. Get lost Cheat?
  15. It would be news if such a guy existed.
  16. Back the f*** off Addison. We won the f***ing game and you are intent on b****ing and raining on everyone else's parade. Go punch a wall.
  17. Scranton W/B @ Charlotte 6:15 Person Barons lose 5-2. Young 2-3 with a walk, 2 doubles, and both runs. Malone struggled, but Honel pitched well in relief. The new Cub prospect, Aardsma got the win. Box Score Myrtle Beach @ Winston-Salem 6 Haigwood Rome @ Kannapolis 6:05 Harrell
  18. QUOTE(Nokona @ May 30, 2005 -> 12:48 PM) The glass is always half empty in Sox Park. And it should be. They haven't won the WS in a long ass time.
  19. Too many rules. What's the deal with a newbie posting a detailed trivia game anyway?
  20. You can't ditch your own team so readily, but let's be honest. You had to be crazy to think that team ever had a chance of sniffing the division with Maggs and Frank out.
  21. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 30, 2005 -> 12:11 AM) Can anyone comment, as far as using OPS to judge a prospect? I like that Young's OPS is over .800, in a pitchers park, and he's walking -- but he's still striking out a whole lot. Should that worry me? All that I can tell from his numbers is that he is a high risk/high potential prospect.
  22. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ May 29, 2005 -> 04:50 PM) Oh I get it. I put in the wrong name. Sorry.
