Soxtalk Mock Draft- 1st Round
With Bogusevic, Carrillo, and high schooler Mark Pawelek still on the board the Padres have a lot of options at pitcher. Jacoby Ellsbury also interests them. The Pads have gone with college players more in the 1st round with the exception of Bush last year so I'm thinking they go with Brian Bugosevic out of Tulane.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!!!!
QUOTE(mmmmmbeeer @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 06:23 PM) They didn't give Pods an error on that missed flyball? s***. Hermie's on my fantasy squad. You have to touch the ball to be credited with an error. Therefore by rule it has to be a hit. 4 out of the last 5! Slumping my ass! Crede Rowand White Sox!

LeoDaigle/ThomasCollaro
QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 07:37 AM) As for Collaro, he will be 24 this year and has also had trouble advancing within the system. He has great power but strikes out a ton and rarely walks. Collaro is still only 22. Age is not a big concern with him yet.

What would you rather have?
It's sick to think you people would rather have $100,000 than a White Sox World Series. That is really disgusting.

Btm 1: Duffy K'd swinging. BMac got ahead early and the hitter had no chance at that point. Crespo K'd looking. Sick curve to send him back to the bench. McLouth flew out to left.

Franks at bat last nite
QUOTE(thomsonmi @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 12:09 PM) Which is why his presence is HUGE for us whether he hits like the old Frank or not. Uh...duh. Why is there even a thread about this? This is beyond obvious everyone.

AAP: Rafael Flores
Flores in April: 1-1, 3.86 ERA, 21 IP, 14 K, 9 BB, 19 hits, 1.33 WHIP Flores in May: 1-2, 5.58 ERA, 30.2 IP, 19 K, 9 BB, 36 hits, 1.47 WHIP Rafael also made a couple relief appearances in May and it looks like he may have been shifted to the pen indefinitely.

*Official* Eric Chavez Speculation/Dream Thread
QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 11:07 PM) is that person and idiot Not necessarily, he's on my team and he's been slumping horribly the last few weeks. With that said he's still in my starting lineup lol. To make this post have some Chavez related relevance...I don't want him. Too risky. A lot of salary, a lot of cost in getting him, and he's hitting like s*** this year. With that said he'd likely do better in a better lineup.
-
Danny Graves is now an unrestricted free agent
I always that he was overrated. Never got what the big deal was about him. With that said, making him a starter in 2003 has to be one of the worst moves of all time.
-
Scott Skiles
He's going to end up overstaying his welcome in a year or 2 anyway. These type of coaches do.

6/2 Games

Interesting note about the Draft
QUOTE(thomsonmi @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 10:30 AM) For that reason, I am excited to see what we do this year. It's going to be a lot harder to have as good of a draft this year with no supp or 2nd round picks. Lumsden is still a question mark. Liotta, Whisler, and Gio all look like they are going to be due for promotions sometime this year. All great picks.
