  1. My fantasy team is cursed. I swear it. At least I have Brazoban, but sheesh.
  2. QUOTE(MnSoxFan @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 10:16 PM) Well he hopefully will be better than Brian Becker after he goes up. I was waiting for that name to come up. Becker raked at high A and was only servicable at best in AA. With that said, Daigle is hitting far better than Becker.
  3. Charlotte loses 3-2. BMac had a decent outing, 1 bad inning. Box Score Barons get shutout 2-0. Lubisich not bad, Meaux good relief. 2 hits for Sweeney, AGon. Box Score Winston-Salem Box Score Geez are they playing with aluminum bats or something? They're now 1 game out.
  4. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 07:44 PM) Well yeahthat's all well and good, but Daigle's brother is married to Jenny Finch!! I think we got the wrong Daigle, but that still has to count for something, doesn't it? ;-) Line of the day!
  5. Charlotte @ Norfolk 6:15 BMac starts Tennessee @ Birmingham 7 Lubisich I think Frederick @ Winston-Salem 6 Whisler Kanny won 6-2. Adam Russell picked up his 4th win. HR for Hansen. Ricks 3-4. Lucy 2-3. Box Score
  6. His strikeout numbers are impressive. His velocity must be decent to be striking out a lot of guys even if his control has been poor.
  7. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:08 PM) good to hear the guy signed quick, shows something IMO The Sox will almost always pick 1st rounder that will sign quickly. All it means is that the guy doesn't want 3+ mill.
  8. Charlotte's off. Birmingham is up 2-0 through 5. Honel with a good start going. Warthogs won 12-4. HRs for Hall (13), Daigle (21), and Schnur (6). Daigle 3-4, good God is he dominating or what? 2 hits for Collaro, Nanita, and Hinton. Box Score Kanny won 12-3. HRs for Smith, McCarthy, and King. Smith 4-5. Hernandez (3-4), Hansen, and McCarthy also with multi hit games. Ricks with 3 walks. Egbert with a solid start. Box Score
  9. Jeff Clement is a stud. Jason, you are nuts to think he is overrated. I'd take a bat like his at 1B if his defense at catcher isn't good enough. Despite 2 HRs in 2 games, Clement's USC team fell to Oregon St.
  10. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 05:56 PM) wish i could watch him play live, i am however really looking forward to bj upton and delmon young, and im yet to see weeks in live action, should be interesting to watch these young players come up I'm not so sure about Upton. 25 errors in AAA so far. AWFUL! QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 05:57 PM) Yes, but he was also hitting much worse than that earlier this year (I think .220 or below) and has come on significantly in the last few weeks. That's true, but I still think it will take him a while to be ML ready. I'm not saying I doubt his abilities, just that he's not ready yet.
  11. I got 60 and then realized my shotgun wasn't loaded and had to learn the hard way that it takes forever to reload it. That sucked.
  12. To recap last night's action... Charlotte lost to Norfolk 10-4. Anderson 2-5 with a run. Borchard 2-4, 2B, HR, 3 RBI. Box Score Hogs won 4-2. They are still 2 games out of first though. 2 hits for Valido. Another multi hit game and HR for Daigle. Rodriguez finally with a good start. Flores with a 2 inning save. Box Score Kanny lost 11-7. Cook 2-3, HR for Hansen. Liotta gave up 8 runs, only 2 earned. Brice made his pro pitching debut: 1 IP, 1 R, 1 K, 1 BB, 1 hit. Box Score
  13. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 04:34 PM) If fielder impresses, Overbay could be on the blocks He was hitting .253 at AAA. He won't.
  14. C: Joe Mauer 1B: Prince Fielder 2B: Rickie Weeks SS: Joel Guzman 3B: David Wright OF: Delmon Young OF: Jeremy Hermida OF: Felix Pie (sorry guys) SP: Felix Hernandez SP: Adam Miller SP: Zach Duke SP: Yusmeiro Petit SP: Scott Kazmir
  15. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 09:21 PM) But a ranked FSU team underachieving isn't too uncommon... Florida was ranked higher than FSU.
  16. Thanks guys. Sox win, I get a hole in one on the 18th in mini golf to get a free game, and I become a legal adult (holy crap). That's a good day in my book.
  17. I have Pods and Iguchi. I usually stay away, but Pods wins me steals every week and Iguchi has filled a gaping hole at 2nd for me.
  18. QUOTE(Jake @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 01:08 PM) What happened to Donny Lucy? I read he was the backup catcher for Kannapolis but I went to their site and he didn't even have a number. What happened to him? He had tremendous tape coming out of the draft in my opinion. He was injured and just got back maybe a week ago. He is 2-14 so far.
  19. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 11:58 PM) He's 3-4-5 years older than these guys and still getting torched. 17 year olds play in the Carolina League? Wow, that's pretty good. Bakker is only 22, he's not that old for the league. With that said, I agree with about everything else you said and I really wonder why the Sox had him skip Kanny. Didn't they see in ST that he would get rocked at W-S?
  20. Knights lost 9-5 in 10. Anderson with a 3 run HR. Borchard 2-4 with a HR. Norton had 4 hits. Box Score The Warthogs won 10-9 in 10. HRs for Hall (12), Daigle (19), and Schnur (5). 2 HRs for Carlos Lee, 7 on the year for him, he's hitting .368. Valido had 3 hits. Box Score
  21. They make him sound so young as an 11th grader. He's just one year away from being draft eligible. If it was a 5th grader, now that would be hilarious. Either way, it is pretty funny but not that surprising considering he doesn't live in the US.
  22. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 01:00 AM) Besides the point. You let the players decide the game not some s***ty ass balk call. No, it's exactly the point. It's not worth getting up in arms about. Nebraska has just clinched a spot in the CWS. Clemson beat Baylor 4-2. Tennessee is a few innings away from knocking out G Tech with a 10-1 lead in the 6th.
  23. I saw that too with Tracey, you aren't nuts lol. I thought it was weird that a manager would leave in a guy to give up that many runs. Fields finished 4-5 and is turning it around, great to see. Box Score
  24. Fullerton was going to win at that point and you know it. That's the beauty of college baseball. One baserunner gets on late in a one run game and the pitchers and defense crap their pants. Georgia Tech-Tennessee was surprising because I was expecting them to single the tying run in and he hits a HR. Also, watching FSU get owned by Florida is always fun, regardless of the sport.
