  1. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 25, 2005 -> 08:42 PM) cough adrian beltre cough Yeah, he reeked of a one year fluke. That or roids. Either way, he won't put up the numbers he did last year.
  2. Well you didn't get it up for a while so I'm not going to sit around and wait till the draft to get it up. If you want your edited piece up and Jason doesn't get it up send it to heads or myself.
  3. Ian Snell is owning the Knights, 1 hit against through 6. Not surprising the way he has been pitching lately. Young has gone yard for the Barons and Owens is 3-3. As BHAM said, 'Hogs won 3-2. Schnur 2 hits. Haigwood with a pretty good start. Box Score Gio had a pretty good start for the I's. 2 HR's for Cook who is on fire.
  4. QUOTE(MnSoxFan @ May 24, 2005 -> 11:12 PM) Good stuff, I liked it, only thing I saw that might be corrected is that Collaro signed the next year as a draft and follow, not a redraftee. Yeah, I thought that was weird, but I had no way of checking on it so I just trusted knew what he was talking about. Oh well, I'll fix it. Thanks for pointing it out.
  5. Birmingham won 1-0 as mentioned. Rogo had 3 of the Barons 4 hits, talk about a one man offense. Box Score Carlos Lee (the other one) is back off the DL and picked up where he left off-raking. 3-4, triple short of cycle. Whisler with a decent start coming back into the rotation. Wasserman, who was likely left in too long (2.1 IP), gave up his first run of the season, but it was unearned.Myrtle Beach 5, Warthogs 4 (10 inn.) Kanny lost 7-3. Josh Hansen and De Los Santos with 2 hits each. Box Score
  6. I've always drank a lot of caffeine and never have been the troublesome kid. I probably drink a can or 2 of soda. The key to not gaining weight (at least at my age with great metabolism lol) is not eating too much. I don't eat to eat often. With some people it's like a nervous habit, that's sick. And I'm waiting for someone to sue the Food Channel for making them fat. All that channel does is show incredlibly good looking junk food. I always yell at my parents for watching it because it sickens me.
  7. 2001 Draft in Review A look back at how the White Sox drafted four years ago. By Jason Gage The 2001 draft appears to have gone much better than the 2000 draft. The White Sox selected RHP Kris Honel in the 1st round as well as RHP Wyatt Allen (supplemental 1st round for the loss of Charles Johnson). While those picks didn’t fare all that well, the Sox have gotten a lot of value out of some of their latter picks. more...
  8. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 24, 2005 -> 06:55 PM) He should be back in a few weeks. His laptop is outta comission, otherwise he'd keep us updated. So how in the hell do you know?
  9. Charlotte @ Buffalo Person starting, already down 1-0 in the 3rd. Birmingham @ Tennessee 7:15 Lubisich Winston-Salem @ Myrtle Beach Whisler back as a starter. Kannapolis @ Greenville I's up 1-0 early. Martel is down to Kannapolis. Harrell starting.
  10. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 24, 2005 -> 05:47 PM) I didn't realize that the draft was June 7th. Isn't it usually June 20th or past then? As I remember the draft was right around when school ended for me so I'm thinking it was probably around the same time last year.
  11. Good times. Mind if I ask how you/they got this set up? Or do you even know?
  12. LMAO Vizcaino is a joke of a Major League pitcher.
  13. QUOTE(Nokona @ May 23, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) I'm not going to lie, Scheyer showed Conant his flashes of brilliance. Some of his layups were sick, i mean he had some crazy hang time. However, i do think he cracked a little under the pressure of the game. With Weber's mom in the hospital and our wonderful fanbase all of him he showed some signs of weakness. Fred Taylor was a monster inside. He changed the entire game with his D. Granted GBN played their best ball at state, but the Conant game was by far the toughest test the entire playoffs.
  14. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ May 23, 2005 -> 08:45 PM) Yes, with Garland vs. rookie Santana and the Angels without Guerrero and K-Rod, we are looking pretty good for 6 games up Yeah, but still. No guarantees.
  15. QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ May 23, 2005 -> 08:22 PM) Barons Grab a run in the 7th 6-2 On 3 straight hits from Fields, Young, Aceves I know you said this before, but what has been the reason of Fields' slump? And are you at the park giving updates or listening to the radio?
  16. The Intimidators are down 8-5. Russell was looking good according to their announcer but ran into a rough 6th. Little came in and gave up a HR to give up the lead. Cook has his 3rd HR in 2 games.
  17. A lot of signs have us pointing to Clement, which worries me. I'm not a big fan of drafting catchers. I'd rather convert a guy. The less wear and tear at the position the better.
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 23, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) I love Christopher Walken, but I can't imagine him as Hans Solo. You are nuts. He is an awful actor. He would have been brutal. The brash Harrison Ford made the role work.
  19. Charlotte lost 10-7 in 11 innings today. Frank got the day off. Anderson went 2-4 with 2 walks and a run. Gload 2-5, double, walk, 2 runs. Also 2 hits for Bikowski, Burke, Borch, Coquillette, and Lopez. Stewart with a good start, but no pen behind him. Fields blew the lead giving up 2 HRs in less than an inning then Baj gave up a HR and blew the save after the Knights regained the lead. Ulacia lost it in relief. Losing baseball at it's finest. Box Score Barons @ Tennessee 7:15 Villacis Warthogs @ Myrtle Beach 6:02 (WTF?) Ryan Rodriguez Intimidators @ Greenville 6:05 Adam Russell
  20. A day late but... Charlotte lost 12-4 last night. Frank 1-4 with a K. Adkins and Stephens rocked. Box Score Barons Box Score 'Hogs lost 10-4. Collaro with his 4th jack in as many games. Box Score Liotta was awesome again for Kanny in a 4-1 win, 7 IP, 1 R, 6 K. Cook 4-4 with 2 HR. Box Score
  21. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 23, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) That's what I've heard. Danman- does he go to your HS? Yes. I've seen him play tons of times. I've been to about 25 games each of the past 2 years and went to maybe a dozen games his freshman year.
  22. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 22, 2005 -> 11:22 PM) That's how I honestly felt about him. He's a good player(JJ Reddick isn't a bad player at all) but there's better out there. I don't see anyone ranking Scheyer ranked #1 in his class/position or anything like that. There's better out there, but he is a blue-chipper at what he does. The thing about the JJ Redick comparison, while being a compliment no doubt, is that it's not true. Scheyer is a more all around player than Redick, but not as consistent of a shooter (who is?). The best part about Scheyer's game is his 'floor game'. He has unbelievable basketball smarts and court vision. He is a solid passer who knows what to do with the ball. He can have a bad shooting day and still have a major effect on the game other than the fact that he will probably draw a bunch of fouls and hit almost all the free throws.

    Star Wars

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ May 22, 2005 -> 10:30 PM) I could be wrong but I thought that was the timeframe to be covered in the 2006 television installments. That would be awesome. I know they had cartoons called "Clone Wars" for the time between 2 and 3. They definitely need something to cover the time from 3 to 4 because it's the largest gap from one movie to the next.
  24. It's funny the things I keep hearing about Scheyer. Only a shooter, JJ Redick, overrated. You guys have no idea what you are talking about.
