Guess we ditched this idea quickly.

At least the Intimidators won the game. My sleeper prospect did well. FutureSox story on Russell
-
Line drive base hit. Run scores, 5-1 Kanny. Russell is getting pulled. Hell of an outing. The away crowd is rooting for the local kid.
-
The first batter flew out. Next batter worked a full count then walked. Russell got down 3-0 to 3rd hitter of inning, then back to 3-2. Another walk.
-
Intimidators Baseball with audio link on top of page Russell still out there for the 9th.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 7, 2005 -> 09:53 AM) Washington was also inexperienced. In terms of playoff experience they had no more than us, but they were more experience NBA players. As in not as many rookies, not even close.

Scott Pod Konerko White Sox

Podsednik is the firestarter for this lineup. Ozzie said how he needed a leadoff hitter last season. He has one this season, and a great one. He can steal whenever he is on base and screws with pitchers' heads. He leads all of baseball in stolen bases and his on base percentage is at .381. Iguchi has been stud, and we now have a solid 1-2 in the order, but Podsednik does more for this team. Right behind those 2 is Hermanson, who held up this bullpen early in the year and is still yet to give up a run.

Charlotte @ Norfolk doubleheader to makeup yesterday's rainout. Adkins starts game 1, Stephens game 2. Game 1 starts at 5:15. Birmingham @ Chattanooga 7:15 Villacis starts. Potomac @ Winston-Salem 6:00 Rodriguez to the bump. Kannapolis @ Lake County Russell throwing 5 innings with 0 hits. 4-0 so far. Live Box Score

Thanks for posting this Jim. Good to see Liotta get back on track and have Sweeney with a nice game.
-
People, Ben Gordon is a one-dimensional player. He is a hot/cold shooter. He is nothing spectacular. Tyson Chandler has the worst hands known to man. Eddy Curry needs to be back, duh.

QUOTE(gettysburg32 @ May 6, 2005 -> 09:36 AM) Anderson also did very well in CF, he made a great diving catch in shallow LCF to end the 7th. He's deceptively fast out in CF and covers a lot of ground. Yeah, I noticed the same thing about Anderson's speed in 2004 Spring Training. He roped a ball and I was watching the ball and then looked back and he was on his way to 2nd already blazing towards 3rd. In my notes I even wrote deceptive speed.

This kid ever heard of ditching class?

Who cares? And is the best runner since Neal Anderson supposed to be a good thing? I'm serious, I barely remember the guy.

Charlotte (7-19) @ Norfolk 6:15 BMac starting Barons are off. After playing 16 innings last night the Warthogs played a day game and lost in 11 innings. That's brutal. Nanita 3-4 with a 3 run HR. 16 inning marathon for the Warthogs as they win 4-2 on a Hinton 2 run HR. Dizard with an impressive start. Bakker with spectacular relief. Box Score Kanny got blown out 13-3. Hansen, Hernandez, and Castillo with 2 hits each. Hansen and Moat rocked. Box Score

The home team will win every game this series. In each of the 1st 4 games guys have had 'Happy Birthday' games. Noc, Hinrich, Thomas, and Dixon. Who's next?

QUOTE(maggliopipe @ May 3, 2005 -> 08:12 PM) Interesting to see Greinke is not on the list but Garland, Myers, Marquis, Bedard, Bonderman, Cliff Lee and Jeff Francis (?) are. Francis tore up the minor leagues last year and made his debut in September as a 40 man callup. He is a rookie this year.

Haha, Winslow is a douchebag. Good thing it was his own fault so I can laugh at him.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 3, 2005 -> 09:46 AM) Time for that Google Translator again. Mind telling me how you can type those symbols into google?

Guys it's not a fight, stop trying to make it one. The guy typed the wrong college, don't worry about it. Who cares?

Clint Barmes- .416 batting average.

Charlotte (6-18) @ Richmond 6 CST Phillips to start. West Tenn @ Birmingham (13-11) 7 Winston-Salem (13-11) @ Frederick 6:05 Dizard is scheduled to start.
