First accidents
So far nothing major. I've had my license for less than a year though. We'll see.

Ehehehe
It's funny because that can't happen. Ahhhhh, good times.

Kerry Wood left the Cub-LA game after 3 innings:
No Prior they can be pretty good. No Prior and Wood = losing season.

5/10 games
He would be well out of place doing that for the Sox.

Yeah he might get to .200!

I thought he could do some damage. He hit pretty well in AAA the last couple years or some time recent. I guess he just rotted in AAA.

Stat o' the Day
Damn too many Trevians around here. I go to Glenbrook North. I just hope you aren't on any of the sports teams that whoop us (which would be all of them except boys gymnastics, lol).

I, Max
Holly does or used to do ATH. He took the disembodied voice with him. I love the bits he would say going into the breaks.

Five Good Minutes With Jeremy Reed
Yeah he was talking over Joe a bit and trying to be nice to him. This time he was more relaxed. It was a better interview because Reed has had less media coverage since he didn't get a huge bonus and he hasn't been in the system as long so I was able to learn more from it.

Hey do you go to New Trier? I see that you are in high school age wise and you live in Winnetka.

5 Good Minutes With Jeremy Reed
I personally found out more from Reed's interview than Borchard's interview. Good work Aboz. I like what Reed said about not following the team. This is what I said about why it's probably good for them not to follow the Sox.

BMac pitched well in a losing effort for Kanny. In a rain shortened game Brandon went the full 7 innings. He k'd 2, walked 3, and gave up 8 hits. Not his best work but that's still a pretty damn good start. The Intimidators only managed 2 hits, one of which was a Clint King HR. Box score

You're right. I glossed over that assuming he only hit 1 guy. That's Rick Ankiel like.

I wasn't speaking from personal experience. I was just saying that it would make sense. I would think experience and consistency would make a bigger difference in the overall performance of a player at that stage.

Charlotte killed Louisville 10-2. Bryant Nelson does remember how he started off so hot! He went 3-6, a HR short of a cycle. Jeremy Reed went 1-3 with 3 walks. That's great to see. Kelly Dransfeldt went 3-5 with a HR. Ryan Hankins went 4-5 with a double and a HR. Mario Valenzuela had 2 HRs. Mike Bell and Bobby Smith added 2 hits each. Every Knight reached base. Jason Grilli went 5 innings only giving up 1 hit and 2 runs. He also gave up 8 walks, wow. Felix Diaz pitched out of the bullpen giving up 2 hits and a walk while getting 1 K in .2 IP. Courtney Duncan was very solid to close the game. 3.1 IP, 1 K, 1 hit, 0 BB. Box Score to a very interesting game

Five Good Minutes With Joe Borchard
I honestly think it is a good thing for him to not follow things. What if he sees Aaron Rowand hitting .240 or less (hypothetically) and thinks he can do better than that and wants the call up. This could work positively and negatively. He could fire up and work harder or start trying to do too much. From what I've read from KW and others, it seems like he is affected by the pressure. KW didn't want him to read the article in the Sun-Times. He wants him to relax thinking that he is trying to do too much. He should just worry about what he is doing. In his case I think it is good for him to not follow the Sox.

Getting to AAA is a major jump. AA to AAA is possibly the biggest jump in the minors because in AAA there are veterans rehabbing or trying to get back to the bigs, there are guys that have been there for a while trying to get that shot, and finally prospects. The prospects are obviously the rawest of that bunch. Another thing to think about is that the prospects have been facing guys close to their age the whole way through the minors until they get to AAA and face a lot of older guys. To me it seems natural that guys would struggle at AAA.

5 Good Minutes With Joe Borchard
Borchard was well spoken. He really seems like he has the personality to handle the pressure, but it's hard to tell. I really liked Maroon 5 in the background, lol. BTW, aboz, what did you use to record the interview?

Kanny lost to Delmarva 4-0 today. The game was only 7 innings long. Tisch got the start and pitched pretty well. He got the complete game only giving up 2 earned runs (2 unearned aswell). The Intimidators only managed 3 hits. Box Score I was listening to the Knights game for a bit, but they were getting killed. 8-1 Louisville, the Bats have scored every inning. I listened to the game when Wunsch gave up a run. I don't know his line. Meanwhile Winston-Salem is winning 9-3. They scored 8 runs in the first and B.J. LaMura is coasting with the lead. He isn't dominating but the Hogs are up by so much that he may have let down a bit. Also of note is that the announcer mentioned that Brian Anderson has done a great job all year defensively in CF and that Nanita has had really good at-bats today.

Once Anderson gets promoted:
I was thinking anyone in the Warthogs' OF could do what Reed did last year in terms of getting promoted from W-S and doing well in Bham as well. Anderson won't be promoted unless he keeps this up for at least another 2 weeks. Odds are he won't be moved until June.

Timo with a carpet burn catch there. That had to hurt and I saw his face grimace as he got up. Astro turf should be banned from sports.
