  1. I should have shut my f***ing mouth. :banghead
  2. This is shaping up to be a good old fashioned pitchers' duel. These guys are both in total control as of now.
  3. Winston-Salem won 8-7. Ryan Sweeney went 1-3 with 2 runs. Anderson only had 2 hits, lol. 2-3 with a walk, an RBI, a double, and 2 runs. Nanita went 2-4 with 3 RBI. Becker went 3-4 with a double, a triple, 2 RBI, and a run. Box score Spidale went 3-4 with 2 doubles and Yan with 2-4 with a triple in Bham's 12-7 loss to Mobile. Meaux got shelled. Box score
  4. Hummel is batting .289 with Louisville (Cincy AAA) and Josh Rupe has only pitched 4 innings all season.
  5. Agreed, but this movie might be worth a rental.
  6. Ok, so Miller has had another pretty good start, but he still has sucked this year. Charlotte won 4-1. Reed went 1-4. Heads' favorite Scott Bikowski went 2-4. Josh Stewart pitched very well in the start. Box Score
  7. Kanny won 8-2 behind a solid outing from Brian Miller (it's about time). Daigle went 3-4 and David Cook went 2-4. Box score
  8. This movie looks too much like Signs.
  9. I can't either. I have no idea what's wrong with it.
  10. The other one probably got cut off from the picture.
  11. Yeah, but as ss2k4 said you can't have your stars pissed off at you if you are the coach.
  12. Cool. I didn't see him under the profile list and I didn't feel like looking for one, lol.
  13. When the Hornets should have been so much higher than they were that's what happens. The Hornets should have won 50 games, instead they were .500. Plus his history with the Bulls probably had him on a short leash.
  14. Dennis Ulacia Earns Pitcher of the Week Honors Barons' Left-hander Ulacia Named Southern League Pitcher of the Week By Danny Santaromita Dennis Ulacia was brilliant this week and his performances earned him the Southern League's BC Powder Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 30-May 6. Ulacia pitched 11.2 innings in two starts going 2-0 with an ERA of 0.77. The 23 year-old also had ten strikeouts to no walks and only six hits. Ulacia has been impressive this season, with an ERA of 2.70 in 27.2 innings of work. The 1999 8th round draft pick of the Sox started the season in the bullpen until Kris Honel became injured. Since moving into the rotation Ulacia has been a pleasant surprise. It is likely that he will move back to the bullpen when Honel and Ryan Wing get healthy and rejoin the Barons' rotation. It is pitching like this that has the Barons in first place in the Southern League's West Division at 14-12. A lineup that has only two hitters batting over .270 has left the pitching to get wins for them, and the pitchers have gone out and done just that. The rotation and the bullpen have both done a great job in shutting down opposing hitters. Nine pitchers on the Barons have a sub 3.70 ERA. ---------- Also from the Southern League's website:
  15. I'm thinking we are going to get boring pitchers with most of the first 5 picks. I say that's boring because that's what everybody does. It's fun to see position players develop because they play everyday. I'd like to see us go after infielders and catchers. Obviously we will pick pitchers and the OF is definitely set in the minors.
  16. He was part of the Lofton trade with SF.
  17. It's not prison Jason, it's AAA.
  18. Ok the dreadful Charlotte game. Reed 0-1 with 2 walks and a run. Valentin 1-4 with a run and 2 ks, he got a hit! Wright pathetic line: 2 IP, 9 ER, 9 hits, 1 K, 4 BBs. :puke David Sanders and Courtney Duncan also sucked. Rich Paz (the 1B) pitched an inning. He struck a guy out and only gave up 1 run on a HR. Sign him up! Box Score
  19. Anyone who hates cats has never had one and/or is allergic to them.
  20. Hey! Chris Young went a whole game without striking out! Way to go! It's good to see Gray hitting well in Kanny. I really think he can make it. It's too early in my mind to call him a solid major league prospect, but he is getting there.
  21. My point is that it is arguable that Mulder and Zito are better than Hudson. I didn't say it was clear. The point is that Oakland has 3 aces.
  22. 19! Geez, he's almost old enough to drink.
  23. So the answer would be no, he isn't Trevor Hoffman.
  24. Yeah I just saw that after I posted. Geez! I guess the upside of moving him would be that Brice could move up to W-S.
