Exactly. While his WHIP isn't very good, he still has done fairly well at the Major League level. This is more than any of the replacements you named. They have yet to pitch in the Majors, some have not even made it to AAA. Adkins has done nothing to deserve demotion. He hasn't been so horrible that he needs to be demoted.

Who said Baj was ready for the majors? Oh and Adkins ERA is 3.18.

In 2002 and 2003 with the A's and White Sox AAA teams Adkins had 166 Ks and 79 walks. I never said Baj and Yofu weren't pitching well, but they are in AA and aren't ready for the bigs.

Of course he is far from there, and, heck, with our bullpen I'll take anything the Sox can get. I'd like to see him pitch for another month or so. If he continues to dominate the Sox will have to make room for him in AAA. If he only pitches with an ERA of 2.0 or something the rest of the way then they can keep him there until the Sox make some deals around the deadline giving away prospects (hopefully). I'm thinking after the trades there will have to be some room for him in AAA. Next year in ST he should/could be competing for a spot on the team if he gets to pitch in AAA this year and does even average.

Yofu is an AA and Wunsch has been mediocre in AAA. Santiago has been great and is arguably deserving of a shot. Baj needs to prove himself in AAA before he can get called up, but he is way too good for AA.
