I was just thinking about the Bulls. How come some teams like the Grizzlies, who used to be worse than the Bulls even after MJ have now surpassed the Bulls? It's tough to think about it. Arizona is showing that they aren't as good as their previous teams. They are deep, but they don't have a superstar to lead them. Meanwhile, Marquette got trounced tonight by Southern Miss.

Except the RPI isn't the end all be all in college basketball. It's a guide for the tournament, and people rarely complain about the seeds because the difference between 1 seed is really nothing.

It's early. The RPI gets better once conference play continues. The top teams will get to the top.

If you mean the NCAA tournament, it's possible, but not likely. NU will have to go at least 10-6 in the Big Ten, which as an NU fan myself I don't see. They were too inconsistent in non-conference play. They did beat Arizona St., a good team, but also lost to UIC and Mississippi Valley St. Their strength of schedule will help, but I don't think they can grab enough wins.
