Flowers hit a ball so far in Mobile that the umps couldn't tell if it was fair or foul. He would hit balls in batting practice over the giant centerfield speaker at Regions Park. That would be 500 feet. If you're concerned about him not panning out, consider that the White Sox didn't draft him to begin with.

Flowers actually has plate discipline, incredible plate discipline. I'm sure most of his K's are looking, not swinging. Most of them were looking last season when I saw him play.

I have a $200 baseball glove given to me personally by Micah Schnurstein to prove that appreciation.

The Dash are close to clinching the first half title, so I imagine we'll see some changes in about a week. Brandon Short has 93 hits in 62 games, which leads the Carolina League.

All she ever said was that he works hard and doesn't let adversity get in his way. She never claimed he was Barry Bonds. What's wrong with hard workers in the organization? I wish I could play pro ball, even if was in the lower minors.

I'm sure if he gets a chance to catch Chris Sale, you guys will be lining up to hear what he had to say about it.

Watched "The Spirit," "Land Of The Lost" and "Religulous." Liked all three, plenty of eye candy in "The Spirit."
