Winston-Salem has an open roster spot now, they sent Jordan Cheatham back to Kannapolis to take Trayce Thompson's spot. I guess either Drew Garcia or KW Jr. will come off the DL soon.

Also, C.J. Retherford hasn't played since Friday, even when needed. He may be on the DL, but the Knights roster is never updated properly. Adam Ricks, who was activated from the DL to take Lillibridge's spot, played third base today, instead of either Retherford or Viciedo. Something's strange about all that.

Erick Threets and Charlie Shirek activated from the DL, Jhonny Nunez promoted to Charlotte. That gives Charlotte 25 active players, so somebody was released or DL'd. I think Scott Elarton may have been released.

What we've learned is that Joe Cowley gets his story ideas from Soxtalk.

The Angels would be dealing from depth and getting a high caliber offensive player in return, no loss for them. Plus, they wouldn't be on the hook for Konerko next year and Morales would be back to full health by then. It's a win-win for them.
