QUOTE (bighurt4life @ May 20, 2010 -> 09:55 PM) http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...chraaa_bufaaa_1 Charlotte B-Ham rained out http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...myrafa_wswafa_1 Winston Salem http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...kanafx_ashafx_1 Kannapolis I know when to skip a game.

He'll probably play in Great Falls, they start playing in about a month. There are only two other catchers in the system that aren't assigned right now and that is Robert Vaughn and Dylan Tonneson, so Chase should be starting for the Voyagers.
-
Chase Blackwood has been reassigned, where I don't know, but Kanny has 2 open roster spots as of now. RHP Brandon Kloess was added to the Dash roster from Kannapolis.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ May 19, 2010 -> 08:48 PM) One more appearance and he's gone. Actually, I bet he'll be sent packing in about 10 days when OF Miguel Negron is eligible to come off suspension. Charlotte needs another outfielder with De Aza on the DL.

The Dash played 29 innings and two games today.

4 K's, ouch.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 19, 2010 -> 06:24 PM) ...Flowers sitting again. He's played everyday since the 12th. A day off a week is no big deal.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 19, 2010 -> 08:13 PM) Embree gets b**** slapped again. One more appearance and he's gone.

QUOTE (danman31 @ May 19, 2010 -> 03:04 PM) How good is the Winston-Salem offense? The Winston-Salem Dash have been the hottest team in the White Sox organization and one of the hottest in all of the minors. The reason, for the most part, is their incredible offense. Dash hitters have the top five spots in batting average among Sox minor leaguers. They also moved to new BB&T Ballpark this year. Is the park a hitter's haven or are these hitters just that good? more... Great. That means those guys will come back down to Earth once they move up to B'ham.

Brandon Hynick has joined the Barons, don't know what the corresponding move was to make room for him. Possibly Tyler Kuhn being demoted to W-S.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 18, 2010 -> 09:10 PM) Jake Rasner with the start - wonder if that was a one-time deal or if they are converting. Took Cassel's place in the rotation.

QUOTE (girlslikebaseballtoo#26 @ May 18, 2010 -> 11:28 AM) I know Blackwood is an excellent catcher and i so badly want to see him in a game in Winston-Salem. He made it into two games in Birmingham, one of which he was the starting catcher. I don't think putting him in could harm the team in the least. I second the notion. Don't know why McEwing's lineup is so hard to crack. I just think utility man Luis Sierra would serve the team better as a utility man instead of in a catching platoon with Jason Bour.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 18, 2010 -> 12:32 PM) I like the enthusiasm and appreciate the information girlslikebaseball. Welcome aboard!!! She's in Cali, Jason.

QUOTE (scenario @ May 17, 2010 -> 11:43 PM) Birmingham won 2-1. Dale Mollenhauer, who has been on a tear in the last week, drove home the winning run with a single in the bottom of the 10th. Buck Coats went 3-3. Had to leave an inning before, it was bath time and bed time for baby.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 17, 2010 -> 12:22 PM) Perhaps they're related. My Pete is a mini Dachshund, I can't see the picture of Leonard's dog. I got the name because there is a chain of hot dog restaurants here in Alabama called Sneaky Pete's, and since my Pete is a weenie dog...
-
I don't know why Blackwood hasn't played at all in W-S. He got into two games in B'ham. Luis Sierra may be better used at second base now with Drew Garcia out. Let Bour start and Blackwood play once or twice a week.
-
The thing is, I may miss Edwards first start for B'ham if it's on Thursday, d'oh!

QUOTE (danman31 @ May 17, 2010 -> 02:02 PM) I noticed the Barons are still one over their roster limit with 13 active pitchers. That would make the most sense. Where did you hear about Buch? I see he's not listed on the Kanny roster, but that doesn't mean he went to extended ST. He was doing decent enough to stay with Kanny. Lowe to the DL, look under the Sally League transactions.
-
QUOTE (danman31 @ May 17, 2010 -> 01:18 PM) Odd. Edwards was the pitcher moved to Birmingham. Must mean Lowe is headed to the DL with that groin injury, it did look bad. Lowe and Edwards were starting on the same day, so it makes sense. Edwards did deserve the promotion. Kanny still has an open roster spot.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ May 15, 2010 -> 10:58 AM) This is Pete. I have a dog named Pete.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 17, 2010 -> 10:05 AM) How long will Threets be on the DL? Hopefully not much longer.
-
Buch to extended spring training. Someone will be demoted from W-S, maybe one of their 14 pitchers.
-
They also moved Zachary Kayne up to W-S, but now they have 26 active players, so someone will be cut, demoted or promoted. Andre Rienzo was added to Kannapolis, but Ryan Buch has mysteriously disappeared from the roster. Johnnie Lowe came out of the game Saturday night with a groin injury, so perhaps he's hitting the DL and a starter (Justin Edwards maybe) is getting moved up to B'ham.
-
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 17, 2010 -> 10:09 AM) Any corresponding move(s)? Drew Garcia is on the DL, so they had an open roster spot.
