I never in my life thought an F5 tornado would hit downtown Birmingham, let alone to actually see it on live TV. It's not flat at all in and around there.

The one that went through Tuscaloosa tracked all the way to Birmingham, 50 miles, then onto Pell City, another 50 miles.

If anybody was wondering, I'm okay. My brother in law was in Tuscaloosa, he almost died. His apartment was hit directly. He was blown out of it and tossed several feet, he saved a woman and her child, but got more hurt in the process. Numerous injuries, lost a lot of blood from a laceration on his foot, concussion, etc. It completely missed us, but came close.

I feel as if there's a George Carlin joke in all of this...In football, when there's a labor issue, a judge tells them to end the lockout. In baseball, they just let it go on and on. I sure he could've said it better, but you get the gist.
