  1. QUOTE (SpainSOXfan09 @ May 18, 2011 -> 08:26 PM) JPN/Danman, do we have anyone apart from Leesman in AA who looks worthy of getting promoted to the Charlotte rotation? It seems this year they are really terrible. Every time I look at a box score a Charlotte starter is getting shelled!!! WTF??? Zaleski, but mostly due to age. He's 29 and spent all of last year in Charlotte's rotation.
  2. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 9, 2011 -> 12:17 PM) Completely off any kind of topic (I guess that's what the Catch All is for), but I find it weird that the last 4 girls I've dated have better tits than asses, and I've long considered myself an ass man. I'm more interested in the business end than the sign out front too.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 18, 2011 -> 03:56 PM) Photographs add 10 pounds? Weird. She's clearly plumped up, but just trying to make a point that it's not as dramatic as it appears.

To be fair, I work in TV, the camera doesn't add 10 pounds, it adds 30. Christina Aguilera is maybe 145 at most now. Remember, she's fairly short. TV cameras can't perceive much depth, everything looks bigger on TV than it really is. That's why they use so much dark lighting on shows because it creates depth. At work, I see people in person, then I see them on camera, you wouldn't believe the difference. Take for example Jennifer Carpenter from "Dexter," you see how skinny she is on the show. If you saw her in person, you could see through her.
  7. Montgomery has two former 1st overall draft picks on their roster, Matt Bush and Tim Beckham. How often does that happen? Beckham can't hit anything offspeed or breaking. Tampa fans shouldn't hold their breath waiting on him to become anything. Bush on the other hand might turn out to be a decent reliever.
  8. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 18, 2011 -> 01:59 PM) Of course, as soon as people start talking about Remenowsky like he should replace T-Pain, he gets rocked. Seems to happen a lot around here, as soon as we "notice" a player. I finally saw him pitch...doesn't throw like Bronson Arroyo at all. Nothing really deceptive about his arm motion, offspeed and breaking stuff ran 72, 74 and 78. Nice 12 to 6 break on his curve/slider. Fastball only touched 89, he moves it around a lot. Leg kick wasn't that dramatic, probably toned it down.
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 18, 2011 -> 02:24 PM) Sample size and the fact he's already 24. Kuhn was a guy I was excited about going into 2009. But he didn't do anything of relevance. Certainly nothing to deem him a top prospect. He doesn't have a particular tool(s) that jump out at you. If he can keep this up for a full year then MAYBE you have something. And let me emphasize maybe. But it's not going to happen. He's got like 5 career HRs. He's not going to maintain a .500+ slg%. He needs to be promoted to test him at AAA. I like him a lot, I wouldn't doubt him, he's a hard worker and could make it.
  10. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 18, 2011 -> 01:38 AM) So sign Minnie Minoso. Depth at AAA is not hard to find. I know, I was saying that it would be easier to send Viciedo back down. Somebody who may need a bat might claim McPherson, especially if he does well.

Christina Aguilera's boobs is the best show on TV.
  12. McPherson will have to be DFA'd and will not clear waivers, thus losing depth at AAA.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 17, 2011 -> 12:07 AM) KW Jr. or Juan Pierre? Wow. This franchise is home to some of the worst players in baseball, majors and minors. At least Juan Pierre has proven to be useful in the past. He's not placed due to nepotism.
  14. Kenny Williams Jr. is now batting .190, batting leadoff, playing everyday. This has to stop.
  15. Omogrosso's throwing motion is like Bronson Arroyo's as well.
  16. I do know that he seems to have slimmed down compared to the older photos we have seen.
  17. I still haven't seen Remenowsky pitch.
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ May 15, 2011 -> 04:37 PM) Jose Martinez came out after 1 AB. Hope he's ok, or maybe the wheels are in motion for him to go to AA, with Viciedo coming up tomorrow? Or he didn't run out the double play he grounded into, could've been benched. Usually they don't start if they're being promoted. Maybe if he had come out later in the game, then maybe. We'll see.
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ May 14, 2011 -> 02:12 PM) And Garrett Atkins. 3 guys everybody fell in love with without having them prove anything. Hey, buy low, see what happens. Oh wait, Ozzie would ruin anything good he had left. How about straight up for Teahen?
  20. QUOTE (danman31 @ May 14, 2011 -> 09:39 PM) Christian Marrero is the new David Cook. Well...yeah. I think it's time for him to move up, send Restovich packing.
  21. QUOTE (flavum @ May 14, 2011 -> 07:16 PM) Great start for Griffith. 0.1 inning 3 hits 7 runs 3 walks 1 k 1 wp An unnamed Barons employee made a joke the other night when Nevin threw a ball to a fan, "Hey! Nevin threw a strike!"
  22. Maybe Dexter Carter takes the open roster spot in W-S?
  23. It seems Ian Stewart might be available.
  24. QUOTE (danman31 @ May 14, 2011 -> 01:38 PM) Shirek got promoted to AA. No corresponding moves yet. Dash have an opening. Charlotte does too, Jhonny Nunez was put on the DL. Nate Jones was put on B'ham's DL, Joe Bisenius was added to the Barons roster as well.
