I have a new blog...
I know I won't be the last one here talking about a new blog, but in case you wanted to give me any hits, go to http://www.clonechronicles.com in case you are in any way interested about Iowa State. Probably could've put this under Flying Under the Radar.

Catch-All Anything Thread
QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 06:37 PM) Ugh.. why are tires so expensive? Thankfully there was a defect and BMW paid for half, but good grief. I could have went away for a long weekend on what I dished out today on rubber. Maybe if you woulda stockpiled a few months ago, there'd be two expensive little things avoided...

I think I say this on behalf of most of the people here...
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 07:00 PM) Yeah but you could count on Crede, Erstad, and Thome being prime candidates to be hurt, and Toby only played in 85 games last year, so he's not a prime candidate for Mr. Iron Man. Tough choice. Russ Martin or Toby Hall. He had Fields as a backup plan for Crede, and Anderson/Terrero as a backup plan for Erstad.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 06:49 PM) He said to trust him and emphasized how we had fixed the bullpen this offseason. In reality, we have the fewest wins in baseball, the worst bullpen* in baseball, and the worst offense in baseball. While nobody could have seen our offense being THIS bad, everybody knew Crede had a career year last year, everybody knew Dye had a career year last year, everybody knew Pods and Erstad would get hurt, that Uribe can't hit, that A.J. has turned into a homer or nothing player, and that our bench and OF in general suck. There are very few excuses for KW right now. Our bench sucks due to injuries and having to start way more often. You can't count on Ozuna, Hall and Cintron all getting hurt and Mackowiak having to become a starter.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 06:45 PM) I can't totally agree. I honestly think these guys are trying as hard as they can, but just aren't good enough. I DO say GO TO HELL KENNY WILLIAMS. He has put together this joke of a team, this joke of a farm system, has been a prick towards guys like Frank Thomas, and led us to 6 Octobers out of 7 at home. I could never hate this team, but I hate the losers running it that have put us in this spot. The entire scouting department needs to go. Yeah, f*** KW for not realizing that damn near every member of our starting lineup would regress in dramatic fashion.

Minor League Catch-All Thread
Winston-Salem and Wilmington will square off in game two of this three-game set on Tuesday, June 25 at Ernie Shore Field. The Warthogs will send RHP Brian Omogrosso (3-2, 4.43) to the mound for his first professional start. The Blue Rocks will hand the ball to RHP Jason Godin (0-2, 7.64).

QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 06:19 PM) Ditto. I would love to see some of you kids deal with the crap of the 80's. I'm guessing a rise in suicides on the south side. Please don't come to the park anymore. I beg you. Your whining and complaining is ruining my entertainment experience. We can get a show for Jason in Chicago.....that'll give you some more entertainment.

Red Sox Interested in Buehrle?
Another person on WSI saying Buehrle is not currently with the team.....of course, who knows when they leave for TB. Of course, he could be pooping.
-
And that's pretty much a White Sox season...
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 05:30 PM) What? Do you appreciate players who sit and watch their home runs at home plate for about 20 minutes? Or jump up and down after a good play like he just won the World Series? Maybe I haven't watched enough baseball, but usually these things aren't looked kindly on by opposing players. At the very least, it would have been better to put him on first. I didn't notice him doing anything he doesn't normally do.

Laumann new scouting director
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 05:24 PM) There is no hope until KW is gone for our minor league system, so this hire really is not surprising. What are you basing this on? He said that this was the year he wanted to be more hands-on.

Red Sox Interested in Buehrle?
And Ellsbury leads off.
-
I am not even sure I know the answer to this question....
Ugh, the quality of this board is sinking faster than our chances of getting anything worthwhile back for Dye.
-
Red Sox Interested in Buehrle?
Ellsbury is leading off for the PawSox. I'll keep an eye to see if the lineup holds.

And that's pretty much a White Sox season...
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 04:59 PM) WHY THE f*** DID WE NOT BEAM SORIANO IN THE HEAD? That was basically the only reason I went to the game today Because there was no reason to?

Red Sox Interested in Buehrle?
QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 04:54 PM) From WSI Board WEEI and NESN both reporting Buehrle has agreed to an extension with Boston....no offical word yet s***.

2007 White Sox Catch-All Thread
Andy Gonzalez - OF Jun. 24 - 5:32 pm et Andy Gonzalez went 0-for-4 while making a second straight start as the White Sox's right fielder and No. 2 hitter on Sunday. GM Ken Williams was steamed before Sunday's game, promising changes, so we can just imagine how upset he is now that they were shut out by a rookie. Gonzalez, a middle infielder in his minor league career and not a very good one, is a joke as more than an emergency option in a corner outfield spot for a major league team. The White Sox should send him down to call up Ryan Sweeney even if they're not going to put Jermaine Dye on the DL.

Red Sox Interested in Buehrle?
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 04:06 PM) Pawtucket plays at Louisville tonight at 5:15. Should be interesting to see if anyone is held out of the starting lineup or pulled during the game. Ellsbury, LF McEwing, 2B Scales, SS Moss, CF Bailey, 1B Tucker, DH Pritz, RF Kottaras, C Spann, 3B Pauley, P
