I'm scared for ISU. Thank god OSU graduates like 12 fifth year seniors while ISU basically returns everyone. Top 7 return.

Looking to buy a home...
Move to NE Iowa, and get a house on the cheap. My hometown, where a $75,000 will make you middle class. 27,347 is the median income, if that tells you anything about where I came from. Median resident age: 40.8 years Median household income: $27,347 (year 2000) Median house value: $53,300 (year 2000)

For Dems only.
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 09:54 PM) I brought up a similar point recently in one of the Buster forums. Even the people pretty far left don't refer to people on the right with childish and inane names like "leftist" or "liberal scum". It makes the right wingers in this forum look like 12-year-olds. Where does that come from, anyway? The desire to degrate someone who doesn't agree with you, just for that reason? No idea. I'm sick of the use of "left" like that....

QUOTE(Spiff @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 01:45 PM) If he's the offensive coordinator he can figure out the blocking schemes; all that pointing he does should be for some purpose (ie: to save his own ass). He didn't get it done. As for the whole "he's our assbag" thing, how many Colts players do you think feel that way after he threw the o-line under the bus after the game? He shouldn't have said anything and I think everyone knows that. Manning calls the plays at the line generally. Anyone who plays Madden 06 knows this.

White Sox invite 19 players to Spring Training
Ugh, I don't like the Sox being associated with roiders at all. Nice to see Broadway with an invite, along with Grieve. Blakely's a bit of a surprise, but I think BHAM will be happy.

Sox Fans Advise: Dan Ryan Messed Up!!
I plan on exiting my bedroom, taking a sharp right into the Hallway. From there I will travel down the hall, taking the second left to tje Kitchen. Here, I will load up on snacks and caffeinated beverages. From here, I will exit the kitchen, taking a sharp left. I will circle around the recliner, trying to avoid traffic. At this point I will offramp on to the La-Z-Boy. I will then use my electronic changing device to switch it to channel 39. Estimated Time of Travel, 1:30.

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 09:10 AM) Simpsons -- Sideshow Bob mayoral election right? Your guilty conscience may move you to vote Democratic, but deep down you long for a cold-hearted Republican to lower taxes, brutalize criminals, and rule you like a king. That's why I did this, to save you from yourselves. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a city to run. Exactly.

I never really watched for Thompson until this year, but he reminded me of you....slow white guy. I'm looking forward to next year. Only lose one senior of any consequence (John Neal, 3 pt shooter and Hawkeye-slayer extaordinaire) and gain a 4 star in Lawrence Westbrook, who averaged 41 ppg in high school, Cory Johnson , who just broke Rick Rickert's scoring record, and P'Allen Stinnett, the guy with an apostrophe in his first name. LOL, seriously though, they might be playing the big boys next years, as they go to Columbus (ugh....Greg Oden) and are a possibility for the Preseason NIT.

Heh. At least he's our "assbag". I wouldn't want any other "assbag" running that offense. Greasy?

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 11:11 AM) The thing I don't get is that career wise both Haluska and Horner are very good 3 point shooters. Hell at some points last season Horner was absolutely dynamite from beyond the arch. This season I've seen very few games where he flashes his shot of old. They need that shot too, because it would take the pressure off Brunner and Haluska. Thankfully Hansen had a HUGE game. Funny thing with Brunner is, whenver I get to watch the games he sinks a couple 3's when he's open but when I don't watch I look at the box score and he never makes anything. He had a monster rebounding effort. I can't slam Brunner too much, the guy is like an old man (at least he looks like one) and he just competes and guts it caus the man doesn't have much talent (yet he makes by far the most out of it). The free throws really frustrated me though. Iowa is a better shooting free throw team than they used to be, but these are guys that are decent free throw shooters missing clutch free throw after clutch free throw. That said the defense seems to be getting more consistent and thats a big thing cause Iowa can play pretty good defense and it allows them to win when they shoot 1/20 from the 3 point line. I expect a really good performance on Saturday. Don't know if it will be enough, but one thing I've learned is Alford always has his guys prepared for the big games and this will be a big one. Now if only he could keep them motivated for the smaller games. I watched Brunner in HS. The general consensus around NE Iowa was that he kind of seemed like a waste of a schollie. No idea how he got as good as he is. He works hard, that's for damn sure. I'm going to guess Horner's knee and the contraptions that are on it are not helping his shot. I also think the Hawks have a nice future in Tony Freeman, but I've been hearing their basketball recruiting has been lacking.....ISU on the other hand....

Anyone knows that if the O-line is having a bad game, Peyton looks average. I don't see why everyone hates him. The coaching staff has entrusted him with running the offense.....he's an offensive coordinator on the field.
