Something fierce...
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 02:37 PM) got a video camera? you won't believe how much you can sell that stuff for! Nah, I was watching in awe most of the time. I'm sure Cheat will agree it had to have been pretty bad, when I tell him I was on the east end of MWL and could not see Hilton, or the intramural fields on the other side of the parking lots.

Anyone watching this tennis match?
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 02:11 PM) Wanna make a bet? I hate playing tennis...cuz I'm so bad at it...but that was incredible. Both guys were going on pure adrenaline at the end. I was hoping for the tiebreaker to go till like 2 in the morning. That was just incredible. Well, I meant like the strain they are going through. Not appreciating it for appreciation's sake.

Anyone watching this tennis match?
I didn't see it til the fifth set, but watching the highlights on ESPNEWS you could tell that Blake was worn out near the end. Of course, I got a "how can you watch this stuff" while tuning in, but you don't appreciate what these guys are doing til you've played tennis, IMO.

Would You Ban this Poster?
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) Try saying CREDEPOPSUP in the game thread, I dare ya. It was a long running inside joke at Soxtalk, but now apparantly banneable. Says who?

Would You Ban this Poster?
QUOTE(SnB @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 01:10 PM) Honestly, one of the best things about soxtalk is there's a close group of around 50-75 or so of the posters that have been around a long while that know each other so well. I've met alot in person and have had nothing but awesome experiences with everyone. It's like high school all over again. There's some good people here. And there's Jason.

Hurricane Katrina
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 01:11 PM) I don't think that is factored in at all honestly. I believe this is all because of people who don't have jobs anymore, and the loss of productivity both because of the lost jobs and the diverting of resources to the afflicted area. From everything I have read, the elasticity of gasoline makes for a smallish reduction in consumption. Okey doke. You're the nerd to ask.
