It might surprise some people considering how liberal I am, but I think the real anti-gun nuts and the "I'll die before I give up my guns" groups are both wacko. Hunting deer helps with population control, is a source of food....in Iowa you can donate a deer to the prison system to prvide food for prisoners. The dumb deer get elimnated....the stronger and smarter traits get passed on....It's a crazy cycle but we'd be hitting many more deer and more would starve without hunting.

We lost 30-54. This time, the varsity spotted Dyersville Beckman (The town from Field of Dreams) a 22-2 1st quarter lead. Being a JV scrub, I got in at the the end and made a basket with like a minute left. I got the biggest cheer of the nite (Not sure why), but we still lost. Oh well, our archrival is up next tomorrow. Well, not really our Arch-Archrival, but Waverly-Shell Rock is our biggest basketball enemy.

Thanks. The one thing I noticed is that when you're sitting up in the tree, it gets really f***ing loud when outher people shoot. But, the thing is, I didn't hear myself shoot. Adrenaline I guess.

It's getting processed today. You aren't getting any til you figure out it's "Heads", not "head". Head is something cool people like me get.

Just a regular hunting license and a deer tag that you have to put around it's leg. Also, anyone that is younger than like 50 has to go thru a hunter saftey course. It's a real good program and things are set up very nicely in Iowa. Just for a record my arsenal includes: .22 rifle 20 gauge shotgun .306 high powered rifle and of course, my blowgun.... That doe didn't go real far. Right in the heart.

...Got this doe (My first deer) at about 10:45 Sunday morning after waiting in a tree for fouh hours, 45 minutes. It was about 15 yards and I hit it with my 20 gauge. It ran probably another 50-70 yards and dropped. I also field dressed it.

I agree, when and if Mich. beats USC, there will be no argument.

This game was a bit different. We traveled to Manchester Iowa to take on the West Delaware Hawks and lost 50-32. We played better in some respects and worse in others. We only had six players, meaning I had to start. Over the game I had 2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 fouls, 0 turnovers and I tied a guy up, over about probably 28 minutes in a 32 minutes game. Our best player was shut out during the game and fouled out. Tonight we actually score in the first quarter, and were leading 12-5 at the buzzer. They came back but we were up 19-17 at the half. They stuff started sucking. The refs were blind and didn't notice when one of our players was clotheslined. I'm going to see a lot of minutes because my coach said I really know the defense as the guy I was covering only had 5? points.

I got up at 5 this morning, had basketball practice 6:15-7:45 and we have a late start due to VERY crappy roads after like 4 inches of snow. I didn't realize people came on this early in the morning. I don't have to be at school til 10:20. I'm also going to play again tonite in a JV game and I'm going deer hunting Sat and Sun. Just sort of a mishmash of my thoughts...

I lift every other day in my PE class.

473 kids were enrolled at the beginning of the year. Puts us near the bottom of 3A. 3A is the second biggest class.

Nah. Hell, we outscored them the rest of the way, but spotting someone 18 points is not the way to go.
