  1. I wonder if Steve Prohm would look towards a job like Louisville.
  2. I can't even get mad about that Trout homer. I just like watching the dude play.
  3. As someone that's lost their own best friend, what he's going thorough cannot be discounted. I hope he's in a better place with it now.
  4. No reason to push it with him.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 25, 2017 -> 08:27 PM) So what's Shield's peripherals like since he went to new motion? Dan Hayes@CSNHayes 8:16 PM Before he began to drop down to 3/4 on Aug. 5, James Shields had a K-rate of 16.6 percent. Since then it's 23.1 percent. #WhiteSox ERA around 4.40, which I guess is a lot better than it was. Strikeouts definitely up. Honestly, if he has anything to do with Giolito settling in so nicely, I'm good.
  6. The video on WhiteSox.coom about Jose and Yoan is pretty nice. I don't mind Jose still being here. Definition of worth more to us than to others.
  7. Iowa State hosts Texas on Thursday night. Texas is five point favorites.

  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 23, 2017 -> 09:28 PM) I agree with Little Hurt here. Some of us Republicans (I think I'm Indy now though) simply could not vote for somebody we considered wicked and evil, Hillary Rodman Clinton. Case closed. At least I didn't vote for Trump either, but give us a break please. It's not like the Democrats gave America a reasonable alternative to Donald Trump. I will say Trump's tweeting continues to be a huge problem. Those tweets about sports players and teams were like u all said, ill advised and childish. And his comments about those who kneel during the anthem ... wow. I've been attacked on here for my mild position. Trump went all out freak out ripping those players. I pity the poor NFL writers on Sunday and Monday. They are gonna want to report on a football game and they will have to interview all the guys who take a knee cause those guys will be all out attacking Trump verbally after LeBron's forceful comments. This won't be good for the NFL either, as whether you agree or not it's been suggested publicly NFL ratings are down partly because of the anthem issue. Little Hurt and I disagree at times but cmon, give us a break. Please once and for all realize Hillary gave America very little option to vote out Chump, I mean Trump. That's complete bulls***.
  11. Eat a bag of dicks, Hawkeyes.
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 22, 2017 -> 08:47 AM) The best part of that story is literally .001% of those people know what an email server is. Seriously though, I haven't heard a peep about it lately. I was told it was something that threatened our national security. I imagine prosecution is coming soon.
  13. I was going to post this the other day. Wonder what becomes of him. If they have him targeted as a future manager, I expect him to move up the ladder much like a prospect.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 22, 2017 -> 11:18 PM) Davidson ... don't get me started. Let's just say he's not liked so much on this board. Greg, what you have yet to figure out is that because people don't think a guy is that valuable doesn't mean they don't like him. Do many of us think Davidson is part of the next great Sox team? No. Do we enjoy seeing him hit dingers and want him to do well? Of course we do. We all want him to go .300/40/100.
  15. I would absolutely love this to be real with Avi. Like DA said, no one has ever questioned his talent or his effort. Like I've said before, his track record doesn't justify a high dollar extension. If he walks because he has another awesome 2018 and we can't afford him, then I guess that's the case.
  16. QUOTE (ptatc @ Sep 21, 2017 -> 08:59 PM) Very carefully? i don't think it was quite as serious as arm reattachment. He had a labral repair. He should have been back in july. I'm not really sure what the issue is other than the rumors. There's something off with all of it. I have no clue what, but it sure seems like he should be at least practicing by now.
  17. QUOTE (DaveBrown85 @ Sep 21, 2017 -> 09:13 PM) unrelated to the game...i like your avatar Their new album was decent, needed more screaming tbh
  18. I would like to emphasize the fact that Volstad is in no way good.
  19. Chris Volstad is not good, perfect pitcher for this game
  20. I'm actually really interested to see how they approach this offseason. I could understand either way. Either still stay young and sign projects, or maybe make a multi year signing for a guy that makes sense now and in the future.
  21. QUOTE (ptatc @ Sep 21, 2017 -> 09:20 AM) Rumor has it that he was going to miss 4 games or so anyway so the Colts are just going to throw the season away and be very careful with him. ptatc How is arm reattachment typically handled with quarterbacks?
  22. At least he didn't have his own mail server
  23. Gonna have to compete with the Colts for a new coach.
  24. 6 man rotation was when we had Humber
