White Sox Sign Dunn
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 06:25 PM) Are we talking range or skills at 1st? You realize how many errors lexi did not get thanks to PK? That's kind of one of those things we can only pick up thru watching the game. Having PK at first has helped Alexei quite a bit. PK's defense may not be great, but its certainly not hurting us.

I got really drunk last night and did some things. We now have a new vacuum cleaner from somewhere. I apparently thought it was a good idea to whip my dong out in the bar last night. And other things I don't feel comfortable mentioning.

I f***ing hate Northern Iowa. Should be our last loss to them for a long time. We shot something like 28% and still had a chance to win, so that makes me feel ok. That's a good game for Hoiberg to learn from though. f***ing refs though miss a travel in a one possession game late (Ahlegbe went up for a shot in the lane and came back down, it was obvious) and we lost any momentum.

"Kevin" from Minneapolis called into Hoiberg's show tonight. Apparently he loves all the free Iowa State swag that Hoiberg's been supplying him. Despite Hoiberg saying that Darko was his favorite Timberwolf.

QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 29, 2010 -> 03:43 PM) The Big East is a BCS conference with major media market cash for all of the other sports. The Big 12 may have better overall athletics, but it doesn't have the same attraction. The Big East is Maria Sharapova, the Big 12 is Venus Williams. That's some pretty heavy glorification for a conference that SUCKS at football, which is what drives the whole thing. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Nov 29, 2010 -> 04:16 PM) A TV market difference between the Big East and the Big 12 isn't much. The Big 12 has 7 of the top 50 media markets, and that doesn't include Albuquerque which is mainly a Big 12 city as well. However, I don't see any reason Notre Dame would join a conference unless they are allowed to keep their current TV contract and benefit from a conference contract. Texas will be making 15M with it's own network, plus whatever ESPN gives the Big 12-2 in a network in a year or so. Any big program joining the shotgun conglomeration of a conference called the Big 12 would be a mistake. Missouri, Kansas, Texas Tech, A&M, and even Texas will continue flirting with other conferences or independence in the next few years. You have to think the Big 12 is exploring it with allowing schools to pursue their own TV contracts. Especially with the new TV contract, the Big 12 is safe going forward for awhile. QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 29, 2010 -> 05:33 PM) Eww. Really? Gotta do their due diligence. -- I don't see ND joining a conference, but the Big 12 is not a horrible fit if they don't join the Big Ten.

QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 29, 2010 -> 03:11 PM) Ugh. I'd sooner have them join the Big East for football. I can understand staying independent over joining a conference, but in what world is the Big East a better option than the Big 12 unless you think Notre Dame is going to continue to be mediocre?

Nebraska fans are garbage. Big 12 made the right choice in not traveling to Lincoln, and even more reason to pull for the South winner.
