I don’t think Bauer is as washed as people believe. If the league hadn’t unjustly black balled him, he would be a serviceable to good starting pitcher still. I’m sure of it. The showing for Roch here was very impressive.

Random often untold fact about Roch: On his wrist he has a predominant tattoo of a Roman numeral XXI, 21, representing the honor of a former travel ball teammate that passed away. His friend wore number 21 and Roch wanted to “take him with him”. Wonder if he brings that number with him in Chicago or if his sticks with the number 1 jersey he sported at UCLA.
