  1. It was a piss poor performance and hopefully next time we get a 2005-esq revival. Sans the complete games since that’s never happening again in this sport.
  2. Can you use more capital letters so that people can actually ready your posts?
  3. Dudes gonna pitch way more than that.
  4. Me too brother - keep the faith.
  5. We’re not used to having a good team.
  6. Look what the wind blew in!
  7. 6 years… this might be one of the first position player contracts that is for an appropriate length.
  8. It’s just in comparison to Correa. Facing Biaz > facing Correa.
  9. Waaaay better than Correa. Throw a party. I would have hated watching that asshat cheating scumbag pretentious pea-brained entitled defective morally bankrupt talented shithead bum 19 times a year.
  10. It’s always been too sensible that they’re likely to sign a right fielder like Conforto, trade for a starting pitcher or resign Rodon, and trade Kimbrel for a second baseman or sign a lower tier option. That is what has always been most sensible and it’s still what is most likely to happen. Conforto + Gausmann was the pie in the sky option IMO. All of this other nonsense has been just that. Scherzer and Semien… sure. ?
  11. Have at it: https://instantdomainsearch.com/?q=cubstalk
  12. Stroman and Correa would be some coop for the Angels… not to mention Thor.
  13. Correa, Trout, Ontani, Rendon… oh my. Maybe they should get some pitching.
  14. Those teams are all fucked too. The Rangers are playing the Mets in the 2023 World Series and there won’t be baseball next year.
  15. Well - directly comparing them further - Schwarber has more home runs in 92 less games played over their careers. They both have cases which can be made.
  16. The idea is that Schwarber finally tapped his potential and the results of last season demonstrate signs of what is to come.
  17. There’s a picture of an illustrated chicken for you to find in another thread. That said, I totally agree about the trade… but that horse has been beaten bloody already a few times over.
  18. Don’t you dare talk smack about Brent Lillibridge!
  19. This was a good deal. I’m happy for the Mariners. Those fans have been through some poop.
  20. Patience. I really think he’s signing a 1 year deal. Look at all the guys in his mold who have bet on themselves and then got paid almost 10m more in AAV with more years. Put yourself in the shoes of Conforto… he’s on a down year after being great for 5 of the previous 6 seasons. He’s 28 about to be 29. Put yourself in the shoes of his agent. We all know he always wants to maximize his clients. Take 5/100 now and become a free agent again at 34 years old… Or take a pillow deal… hit the market again at 29 years old and potentially sign for 7/165. 185 > 100.
  21. Will Conforto poop in the next 24 hours and will we be the ones who provide the toilet paper?
  22. If you’re bored you could always watch Trevor Bauer cook cherry pie and take his car into the dealership for service. The big question is… Will he get a tattoo???
