  1. Yea, I’m just throwing things out there... but you can easily see 4 WAR annually for 3 years from Haniger and Dunn could be a solid number 2 for 6 years. There is value towards our goal of immediate contention there and Seattle gets more controllable value for their rebuild. It isn’t an ideal trade for us but again, just throwing darts at the wall blindfolded. How cool it would be to be a fly on the wall in the White Sox war room right now.
  2. Here’s a hair ball idea: Justin Dunn and Mitch Haniger from the Mariners in exchange for Vaughn, Dunning, and Stiever. I’m not hot to trade Vaughn and I do believe in both Dunning and Stiever... and I don’t think Vaughn as a headlining piece back to Seattle matches up great with their needs. However, that three part package we could offer would be able to bring back a really good return. While this was a hair ball idea, the truth is we have bullets in our chamber to add via trade without taking us off the course for long term and near term contention.
  3. 8/418 or bust. White Sox fans say that if we don’t offer a boat load more than any other team, then they are cheap failures.
  4. Bring 52 year old Jose Contreras out of retirement.
  5. Bet he’s just spitballing off what rabbit said... and knows nothing really. This guys hasn’t shown an ounce of “White Sox insider” credibility apart from having insight into trade talks for Joc last year.
  6. We were laughing at those tweets rather than giving them credence.
  7. True... but Cease could be an equivalent to Snell as soon as 2021.
  8. Not being a smartass either... nor do I think Cease will be traded or even discussed.
  9. I’ve been asking the same question all week and do not have an answer.
  10. So you honestly believe that this team is just out there making offers knowing they won’t get accepted. We’ll agree on the necessity of breathing air but that’s likely to be about all.
  11. I’m not either and can’t speculate but I trust @raBBit and have been surprised by this teams ability to pry away starting pitching from the trade market before. Not surprisingly, the last times were a year prior to and a year after winning the World Series. ?
  12. Implying someone is cheap doesn’t work if they’re actively out there trying to spend big and the other side isn’t accepting the money. Cheap is a team like the A’s who don’t even try spending big.
  13. Think about Covey, Despagine, and all the other garbage that we threw out last year. Keuchel isn’t a replacement for Lopez.
  14. I believe he will be signed to man our #4 spot in the rotation. Biggest acquisition outside of Grandal now looks to be via the trade market.
  15. They’ve offered numerous deals over that mark before and it just hasn’t worked out, yet. I personally don’t fault them for this and don’t think they’re done offering big contracts moving forward. One day soon someone will sign.
  16. Keuchel will be our #4 SP to start the year Giolito will be our #1 and we will be trading for a #2 RF will be a one year stop gap and we will acquire a DH around the all star game if rotating between Grandal / McCann / Collins isn’t working out and we are in contention. There’s my crystal ball update for you all.
