There are still a few people around who have the impression the White Sox have a terrible defense. This is really a misperception I think based on the fact our pitchers seem to get into jams alot and magnify any defensive miscues. Here are the current DER stats (basically % of balls in play fielded by defense) for 2004.

This chart tells me our guys are making more than the average share of plays. Also it shows me that our pitchers are giving up more than their share of homeruns and not striking anybody out.
How often does your DNS info change. It seems like I'm CTRL-Refreshing every time I load your site. Right now the title of the page says "Cannot find server" too even though the content loaded.
Let me be the second to officially welcome back Beastly Ordonez nee wsc425. Sometimes unpredictable and sometimes a little unthordox but no one doubts you are a true Sox fan. Welcome back Sir
I just read about someone starting a White Sox fan club down here in CU. He says hes already got some 40 people signed up and is looking for more. Here is his message:
I already emailed the guy and told him to sign me up for their mailing list. Supposedly there's a meeting tomorrow at 6 at Gregory Hall. If you are interested, email the creator at [email protected]
Schoeneweis has gotten a win after a Sox loss his past two starts. Looks like he has to step up a third time since the rest of the rotation has not yet except for Loaiza.
Agreed, I think Uribe is still a pretty raw talent. He's definitely got the tools but somehow never put it all together. He's definitely got tons more upside than Miles, I think Colorado just gave up on him.
