I would not mind seeing both the Alomars back next year. I think they play well together and well in Chicago. Also maybe they could convince their old pal Bartolo to stick around too.
Um did you watch the 2000 playoffs?? Parque and Sirotka and Baldwin for that matter pitched their asses off. JM didn't screw anything up in the ALDS as far as I'm concerned. The offense just choked.
I will voice my support of Bartolo by saying that if we have to play a tiebreaker game in the HHH dome, there's no one else I'd rather see start game #163.
Isn't it amazing though how good bad players can look in meaningless Augusts or Septembers? Royce Clayton and D'Angelo Jimenez, oh what could have been with that double play tandem.
We are tied for first place. So I must say the fates of both Minnesota and Chicago are right now equally in the hands of both teams. Only when one team gets a lead will I say that fate rests more in either team's hands.
4 K's for Miguel tonight. I sort of understand 3 against a knuckler that he is not too familiar with. Still... he has totally lost that clue he had the plate a couple weeks ago.
I'll watch other sports, but nothing will ever come close to my White Sox. Not even CLOSE. Postseason baseball is sacred, less now that they have the wildcard but still sacred. No sport comes close.
