  1. Currently 9-9. Zambrano of the fist pumping Zambranos has given up all of them. JASON BAY (who?) has 8 RBI so far today.
  2. Nah I meant if the Twins lose more than 3 but the Sox play about .500. It only goes to show what could have been if we had decided to show up for 2 or 3 of the last 5 games with Minnesota.
  3. It's funny because before the ASB and during parts of August, many Minny fans were calling for Gardy's head. Just goes to show you what winning will do. Thing is, if the Sox like JM so much, why don't they win a big series to give him some job security?
  4. Or if the Twins lose more than three of their remaining games.
  5. Sorry I'm late on this YNOT. My heart is just not in it but at least the season is almost over. 1) Who will win the series (CHW/KC) (2 points)? 2) Will Esteban Loaiza earn his 20th victory (Y/N) (2 points)? 3) How many errors will the Sox make (4 points)? 4) How many stolen bases will C. Lee have (4 points)? 5) How many total bases will Carl Everett have (5 points)? 6) How many hits will Mark Buehrle allow (5 points)? 7) How many walks will Danny Wright issue (4 points)? 8) Will there be more than 70,000 attendance for the series (Y/N) (2 points)? 9) Who will be in 2nd place in the AL Central (2 points)? 10) Will Mike Sweeney hit a homerun (Y/N) (2 points)? TIEBREAKER: Total runners stranded as a team for the Sox
  6. Bubble boy was a memorable episode. Also the one where they go to the shopping mall and end up getting stuck in the parking garage the whole episode. Bizarro Jerry was another good one oh man too many I better stop before I name every single episode.
  7. Colon in his last few starts has thrown about 95% fastballs. It got him 3 straight CGs and some very good outings. At least he is getting beat on his best pitch instead of those games where teams were hitting his changeup or curve.
  8. My rotting corpse will probably never be around to see a White Sox championship either.
  9. I feel this series with KC is ripe for another William Ligue memory.
  10. I'm wondering if other Sox fans think Jerry is part to blame for things like the West Coast Curse, our s***ty Road Record, and sucking against Detroit, Cleveland or Tampa Bay? I mean I know the players are the ones hitting but there comes a point when enough is enough with these things every year.
  11. Hmm, I will say I was "prepared" for this. As in I did not want to go full-blown pessimist but I knew this team was fully capable of some clutch corpseball.
  12. Give me Miles over Willie. I love his hard-nosed type of play. You know I want to increase team speed but not dump all the players. We trade away some power for speed to build a balanced team. Balance is key here. We can probably still keep Frank around for the first few months of a season then we should just dump him in September
  13. The playoffs is fun to watch because the teams earned their right to be there and most games are usually low scoring and fundamentally sound. It gives me the equivalent of a baseball boner.
  14. I agree KW is learning on the job. It hurt us for a while but his moves have been pretty ballsy lately. Maybe he should just GM/manage. No wait never mind.
  15. There are hard winters and then there are hard winters. This is gonna be one of the toughest winters in a long time.
  16. Twins better play the f***in Yankees. I don't think they've won a game against them in 2 years.
  17. Thanks for all the memories (of sucking). Here take this with you :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou
  18. All that was missing was a walkoff bunt past Kelly Wunsch and this had all the heartbreak of about three years ago.
  19. Well at least we know what to expect from Jerry Manuel teams. The better they look before the season, the more they'll break your heart during the season.
  20. this isn't little big league Yeah, don't the twins lose in that movie?
  21. You know what's about the most useless thing in baseball, a good bullpen on a bad team.
  22. That makes alot of sense actually. I have to agree. This team plays around .500 ball and has the past 2 seasons. They played below .500 early this year then rocketed above. They really are as good as they were the last two seasons. Mediocrity reigns.
  23. I know you are a big Burly fan aboz but we all know about his love for the Cards. Anyone think they would give up Renteria for Buehrle?
  24. You know what it's time to trade Frank. Maggs too probably. I can settle for s***tier players that are more clutch. These guys are f***ing veterans and they still play like rookies in the big games/series/playoffs.
