I respect Santo as a player, but he really is a bad announcer/color guy. He doesn't offer very great insight mostly just cheering "YEAH" or yelling "OH NO".

Everett is a huge positive for this team. He is a force in the clubhouse and can back it up on the field. I like Alomar for his fundamental play too and he is really dedicated this offseason.
As I type this Everett continues to play hard with his 2nd and 3rd RBI tonight.
Agreed also, Mulder makes A's the best in my book. With Zito off this year though they really only have Hudson to rely on. Hudson got some tough luck losses against the Twins last year.
I am. Watching this coverage does not make me pissed at the Cubs. It makes me wonder why my team has had no heart this year. I think of Jerry Manuel's banner on the top of this page, deer in the headlights looks, and dead ppl sitting on the bench. I see dead people.
They are interviewing all the Cubs on WGN with the audio on the Cubs. At the same time they are doing the split screen to show the Sox meaningless game in KC. I would rather they pick one or the other, this just irks me.
Rotoworld:
The Phillies would like to add Tom Gordon as their closer next season. The Phillies will definitely sign someone to replace Jose Mesa. Gordon has moved to the top of their list because he will be more affordable than Keith Foulke and is pitching at least as well as any of the other potential free-agent closers.
Now why can't we convince them that Koch is the better deal?
Thanks. For a while I have been wondering when I can next wear my Cork shirt since the Sox were eliminated. Now I realized that would be the best day, the day after game 3 when the Cubs are swept by the Braves. :fthecubs
I hate them but i know a good rotation when I see one. When they are on: Prior, Wood, Clement, and Zambrano are all nasty. Prior is the most consistent starter by far though. I don't know who else I could totally rely on right now.
Atlanta swept em in 98 and will sweep em in 03. Cubs have had to fight every day and Prior just threw 130 pitches today and will probably start game 1 in Atlanta. They Gawn!
I'm not liking what I'm seeing. Of course Jesus is getting the extended strike zone while Fogg is getting very inconsistent calls behind the plate. One pitch is a ball and the next is a strike in the same spot. Prior should be done soon though unless he's gonna throw over 130 pitches.
Wow Scary Stories by Alvin Schwartz??? When I was in 1st grade Alvin Schwartz himself visited our school and read all of his Scary Stories to us. Wow times have changed.
I will give credit and say Pat Hughes has one of the smoothest PBP deliveries in baseball. If only Santo would stop yelling in the background all the time.
Anyone wonder why they never put the yellow pinwheel on anything?? They didn't have any yellow ones on the Club level facade this year and there's none in that picture. Just what do they have against yellow pinwheel?
