I think it was a blessing this site was down during part of this game. It's a sign we are not supposed to be watching.
-
Why can't they at least put in that natural turf stuff that almost all former astroturf stadiums use? Do they need the superball effect to win??
-
So does f*** f*** The White Sox f*** Jerry Manuel every day f*** Frank Thomas and his choke factor f*** Maggs and his popups f*** Paulie and his GIDP magic f*** Jose Valentin I'm just sick of you f*** Execution we don't need it apparently f*** Corpseball tradition since 2000 ALDS f*** Road Record of a Cellar Dweller f*** Playing to the level of competition f*** Minnesota I hope you play the Yankees

Now I know why the AL Central is a joke. These teams are all underachievers. Kansas City this year was the only team to break that trend but they are probably gonna suck next year too.
-
KW not firing Jerry is equivalent to putting himself out there to suffer the same fate. A GM can show faith in this s***ty manager or do the right thing and can his ass back to Orland Park.
-
Sox offense loses a winnable game. There is no reason to talk s*** about Jon Garland at this point.
-
OK NO WHITE SOX FAN DID NOT SEE THAT COMING. OTHERWISE YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THIS TEAM ALL YEAR. f*** THESE GUYS TIL NEXT SEASON.
-
3-0 count. First WALK of the series??>
-
Deja Vu all over again. I pray Hawk's heart is strong.
-
Frank Thomas where have you gone? We could use you about now.
-
I dunno we hit a ton of flyballs that according to Hawk our players "just missed it".
-
likely??? Please tell me you're joking.
-
Even Hawk the TV announcing optimist admitted during pregame the Sox had to win this game and the next game. I would rather be beaten, you know? Like the Sox and Twins went at full force and the Twins beat us. I can't really say the Twins beat us yesterday and they sure aren't beating us today. Oh sure the scoreboard would seem to say so but I think the Sox truly exemplify the phrase "beating ourselves".

Team didn't show up in Minnesota. I'm not really sure where they are right now, Birmingham maybe looking for those bats?
-
Uhh maggs, cutoff man? You know the guy that you are supposed to throw to when... never mind.
-
Why am i watching this god damn game?? DO I actually think the Sox will not hit a popup every other batter?
-
Did I just see the beginning of the end there? It sure wasn't pretty, can anyone spell SWEPT?
-
Agreed. Ever since that commercial where the chick says that thing about Maggs hitting behind the runner with less than two out he has been doing exactly the opposite. He has been popping up always it seems like weak fly balls to left center field. He needs to get his head in the game and start hitting those line drives to CF.
-
I have to agree. KC lost 100 games last season and nobody including schedule makers would guess they would be a tough opponent down the stretch. They have also beaten up on Minnesota for us a few times this season.

Most dissapointing season ever?

Funny thought, if WE were up a couple games in the divison and WE had seven games left with Detroit, I would still not feel very confident. Detroit would probably take 3 from us. -
I think we'll keep both Alomars and possibly Valentin just because we really are weak at the positions they play. Minny announced earlier this year they were not going to re-sign Guardado or Hawkins I believe.

MOTHERF*CKING B*TCHASS DIPSHIT PASSIONLESS SOX!!!!

My thought on team leaders: This team has no team leadership, on the roster or in management. I think a team leader on the roster has to: Play everyday in the field, have a good and occasionally clutch bat, and have a fiery personality that motivates players and intimidates opponents. Jose Valentin: Was a team leader in 2000. Now he can't avoid striking out 3 or 4 times every other game. Past his prime. Frank Thomas: Inconsistent and plays DH so he really is not involved as much in the game. Magglio Ordonez: Great consistent bat but noticeably anti-clutch. Also quiet and not too great at English which really hurts. Where can we look for team leadership?? Well Carl Everett would be great but he's not going to be around long enough to make a difference. I think Carlos Lee is a prime candidate if he can have this type of season again. His plays in the OF including yesterday's game have always seemed to provide fans and players some kind of boost. He has a very good average with RISP 2 out and a great personality and team philosophy. You could see him developing his plate approach in 2002 and now, the walks are down, but he is really putting together an awesome season in 2003. I hope he can become a leader, because I think this team right now functions as a collection of individuals. -
If you were allotted one WS Championship....
DonkeyKongerko replied to Bighurt52235's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'll take it now, just so we don't have to add to our pathetic almost 90 years without a championship. To win one now would give this team some f***ing bragging rights in the city of Chicago since the Cubs won't ever win one again. (Knock on wood, I don't want the Cubs to win one just cuz I said that). -
I don't know, this year has shown me that KW is not afraid to make a move with a team that is struggling before the trading deadline. We haven't seen a White Sox team make this serious a run after the All Star Break for many years. I think that can mostly be credited to KW who may have learned a thing or two. Now if he can just stop making the worst trade of the season every year.

Tony is a JR favorite. I don't think there's many that can't agree that Tony has been a value bench player for us, especially this season. Hell I'll take his offense out of the SS position over Valentin's.
