  1. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 09:14 AM) when do single day tickets go on sale? thanks. January 9th.
  2. This guy picked it up, and looks like confirmed it from a different source. https://twitter.com/#!/Farrellball
  3. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jan 5, 2012 -> 03:52 PM) @jonmorosi Jon Morosi Miguel Cabrera pleads no contest to DUI, receives 1 yr probation, no jail time, 6-month license susp., $500 fine plus court costs. #Tigers That's nothing! Athletes always getting away with s***!
  4. Probably way too good to be true, I'm sure something might still happen but rather McGuire and a throw in.
  5. QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Jan 5, 2012 -> 04:19 PM) call the sox and see if you can buy another pass..however, you dont need a pass for the bar after the show. I've been trying but the guy who's in charge clearly doesn't feel like calling me back. But yes this pretty much resolves my question. I'll buy her the two-day pass for the Saturday and Sunday activity and she will stay in a hotel with the rest of us. Thanks.
  6. QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Jan 5, 2012 -> 03:42 PM) I thought Drabek was good? Everyone kept talking about him when dealing with the Jays. At the time of draft everyone was salivating over him, IIRC.
  7. Got a text msg from someone who doesn't read the forums, so steam is pickin up friends!
  8. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 4, 2012 -> 05:08 PM) I wouldn't bother going. Did you know that Dye won't even be in attendance? Maybe now I can actually understand what the team manager has to say.
  9. So a friend of mine and I purchased the SoxFest Hotel package, that comes with two weekend passes. All taken care of all I have to do is actually attend the thing. Now a 'GF' of mine would like to join, would all she need to do is buy a two day pass for $70? I just wanna make sure she will be able to hang out with us at the hotel 'afterhours' as well as attend the seminars and events all weekend. Any help appreciated.
  10. Whoever the expert is on the new CSN HOT STOVE weekly show, has said the SOX will pursuit Cespedes aggressively. FWIW.
  11. Voted Molina as he is the closest to a 'can't miss' prospect within the bunch. Stewart is bullpen material as stated by Cooper, and rest willl have to outpitch Molina for the starter job.
  12. We'll see this year, but I know he is overvalued by SoxTalk (in general). He was actually slumpin in September last season when 'the book was out on him'.
  13. Thanks for 08 man, the bat flip and everything else big guy!
  14. If Reed is really the best closer prospect in baseball than, you can't really fault Kenny for the Santos trade.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 30, 2011 -> 11:27 AM) Teams can try to rebuild while having several terrible contracts. See: the current Astros. Whether what were doing will work better than the slow complete overhaul, only time will tell. Depends on how you define successful, I mean let's say they win the division and exit after 1st round?
  16. Wasn't Marlins' payroll also the lowest continuously for the last decade or so..
  17. Cowley: @Oneyguillen @espnchijon ... who is not on there? I'm going to guess his bottom 3 he managed were Swish, C. Lee and Dunn. Oney: @cst_Cowley don't think c lee was on there to be honest for sure swish I think. Dunn it wasn't personal Not sure if that brings any insight to this conversation but I guess Oz and Dunn weren't best buddies.
  18. That showcase video was impressive, FWIW. I love the fact he wears #51
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 22, 2011 -> 03:55 PM) I don't believe Dunn ever said he didn't work out in the offseason, just that he didn't swing a bat. Fine, he doesn't look like he works out much in the offseason
