QUOTE (Soxfest @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 04:01 PM) Last 15 minutes were crazy. Just caught up on the finale.. I can't believe no one here is talking about it. I'm stunned.
  2. Hahn says when talking to scouts name that comes up the most: Lenny Dykstra EDIT: Fixed!
  3. QUOTE (StRoostifer @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 04:01 PM) OK, this idea is crazy on too many levels but here goes. Flowers and DeAza for Weiters. I know Boris is Weiters agent but KW no longer sits in the GM seat so would a possible extention be too crazy? Switch hitter with some power would help this team no doubt and the Sox have payroll space. Doubtful DeAza and Flowers is snuff but you get the general idea. Maybe add Rienzo to the mix?
  4. Gammons said this guy was a ROY lock before his injury last year. Sox were looking for a CF'er and got him. Now 3B and C.
  5. WHITE SOX AGREE TO TERMS WITH RIGHT-HANDER FELIPE PAULINO CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox and right-handed pitcher Felipe Paulino have agreed to terms on a one-year, $1.75-million contract, which includes a club option for 2015. Under terms of the agreement, Paulino will receive $1.5 million in 2014, while the White Sox hold a $4-million club option for 2015, which includes a $250,000 buyout. Paulino, 30, spent the 2013 season in the Kansas City Royals organization, combining to go 0-3 with a 6.51 ERA (20 ER/27.2 IP) over seven starts during injury rehabilitation assignments between Class AA Northwest Arkansas and Class AAA Omaha. Paulino made his season debut on June 11 after undergoing ulnar collateral ligament replacement surgery on his right elbow on July 3, 2012. The 6-foot-3, 270-pound Paulino was 3-1 with a 1.67 ERA (7 ER/37.2 IP) and 39 strikeouts over seven starts with the Royals in 2012 before undergoing surgery. He limited opponents to an .065 average (2-31) with RISP and left-handers to a .190 mark (16-84) overall. Paulino, a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, is 13-32 with a 4.93 ERA (211 ER/385.1 IP) and 359 strikeouts in 93 career appearances (61 starts) over five major-league seasons with Houston (2007, 2009-10), Colorado (2011) and Kansas City (2011-12). Paulino began his professional career with the Astros after signing as a free agent on July 2, 2001. From 2006-08, he was rated by Baseball America as having the Best Fastball in the Houston system. With the move, the White Sox 40-man roster is at 38.
  6. Agreed with above. Have Semien dominate AAA for a season before we annote him the next big thing.
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 3, 2013 -> 03:40 PM) Thats what I ended up using for this one as well. Their calibration on my plasma was second to none. Will definetly look into it.

    Phone Protection

Yes, always use some kind of case mostly the slim/barelythere/thin kind. Good enough to protect from drops, won't bulk up the phone.
  9. Hey team here's a scenario: Met a girl at a bar (yikes) Friday night. We were both pretty tipsy, had what I thought was a great conversation. It was mostly her talking Upon leaving I asked her for her phone number, but since my phone was dead, she asked me to give her mine. I did, she texted me her number the same night. The next day I texted her telling her that I had a good conversation and hope she made it home safe. I waited a copule days and called her last night. No answer. How do you proceed with that one? Did me texting her next day, scare her off? She seemed rather enthusiastic when exchenging phone numbers that night. Do I wait another week call her again? Is it over before it even begun? Been out of the dating scene for a while, what do you all think?

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 3, 2013 -> 09:18 AM) Oh Christ, you have to be kidding. I loved season 1 of Homeland, and really liked season 2, but season 3 has been pretty bad up to this point. Too much Dana, too much Crazy Claire Danes Carrie, and totally unbelievable in parts (they literally shot her because she compromised a mission for personal reasons and 2 weeks later is allowed in the situation room during a covert CIA operation. GMAFB). I love that it's finally coming together and I hope it continues, but the first 5 episodes were not good television. Her trying to convince Brody to abort while under distress also far from believable.
  11. Looks like done deal pending physical for Jacoby and Yankees.
  12. So I gave in the weekend shopping crazy and got this bad boy on Saturday. http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/UN46F5500AFXZA It's going to take a while to unleash its full potential that's for sure.
  13. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 3, 2013 -> 09:28 AM) Some of the battles you fight are classic. Are you really going to argue that A.J. isn't one of the most hated players in all of baseball? Come on man, we all know A.J. is one of your favorite players, but that doesn't mean you can't be objective when discussing him. By all accounts he a douchebag and a s***ty teammate. What did Guillen famously say, "When he's on your team you hate him less". I think that sums of A.J. pretty nicely. You ever think about changing your display name? Chicago White Sox is so... official.
  14. AJ deal is 8.25 mil, that should end all arguments, Sox were not paying that.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 29, 2013 -> 10:07 AM) If his price is only 3/$30 that suggests to me teams have way over corrected in keeping their draft picks, because that'd be far under what he ought to make based on what other guys are getting, 3/$45 or higher seems much more comparable in this market. I might well consider that, the 2nd round pick isn't likely to be worh as much as Granderson on a contract that really underpays him. Not only that, he is probably willing to take a hometown discount.
  16. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 08:42 PM) If they let Deng walk and used the amnesty on Boozer, they'd have around $10 mil to work with. However, around half of that would go to Mirotic if he joins the NBA. You're not getting much for $5 million. If Mirotic doesn't sign, they might be able to bargain shop (guys like Millsap and Martin signed for under $10 mil last year). It'd be even harder because many of the top guys (the Heat trio, Melo, Dirk, Gay, Gasol, Randolph) could make $20 mil plus instead of the "new" max around $15 mil. The only way they can get significantly over $10 mil is if they traded Rose, Noah or Gibson for an expiring deal. Thank you.
  17. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 08:31 PM) This thread desperately needs a rumor. Agree, it's been beyond boring.
  18. I hear you DA. Just to make it clear, there is no way Bulls are are going after any of the big FA's in summer of 2014, simply because they won't have the cap room correct?

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 05:50 PM) Damian Lewis is one hell of an actor. Interesting turn that Homeland is taking...
  20. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 02:03 PM) So nearly $400 for the weekend? Yikes. Looks like I won't be attending SoxFest for a while. You split that between 4 buddies and you're looking at 150 per weekend plus spending money but you can do that on the cheap.
  21. Aggery Sam already hinting on Rose opting for 'repair' and sitting out season/
  22. QUOTE (chisoxfan310 @ Nov 23, 2013 -> 05:01 PM) Where do Salty and AJ end up? Both Sox teams, Twins, and Rangers have holes behind the plate. I think Rangers are making Soto their primary catcher. That was the word earlier anyway.
  23. http://espn.go.com/nba/truehoop/miamiheat/...removed-college Wade discussing how removing his meniscus lead to his knee problems. FWIW.
